I am planning on doin a 97-99 eclipse front end and i was wondering if anyone has ever covered up the mitsubishi emblem thing on the bumper. does anyone know how itd be done and how much itd cost? thanks alot.

You'd probably just get the plastic decal out of the imprinted area and then put bondo or filler in there...sand it till it matched the rest of the bumper and have it painted. I don't know how much it would cost, but it's probably a bunch of money you could spend on something else. I bet if you had it done it would run ya 100 bux. If that's nothin' to ya, then go for it.

ok makes sense, i think im just ognna get an aftermarket bumper then, does anyone know of any aftermarket 97-99 bumpers that are around 200 bucks? i got the lights now i just need a bumper

I have a suggestion that would save you tons both ways. I specifically got my bumper because of this... it's a 97-99 bumper that is only $269 primed, and has a cleaned off front end................. it's from all places: PEPBOYS! Plus you get 10% off when you open up a new account... how sweet it is :)

The bumper is as far as I can tell, of comparable quality ie durability, and it's also easy to paint (so said my friend at the body shop). I'd go that way with the urethane bumper so you won't get it cracked off :(

There are a few non-OEM bumper cover manufacturers out there that sell bumper covers that look like 97+. The only difference is that there are no holes for a fron license plate nor any place for an emblem..could be just what you are looking for...

Ask a body shop what it would cost to get one. They should be 250 or less.

Look at the bumper cover on my sig pic...no emblem :D

aright thanks alot guys, im gonna try to goto pep boys and if they can't do anything im gonna go around to all the retard body shops in my area .to see what they can do without charging me a million dolars.

I have an aftermarket bumper also.

There is no license plate holes and no emblem.

But I put an emblem on there anyway.

So if you go with an aftermarket bumper, then you would get no emblems:D

Also you'd have to get the 97 eclipse fog lights. Your 95 ones will not fit.

LaNg Jii, where did you get your bumper from? does anyone know of any places online where i can get stock aftermarket bumpers with no emblem? i don't mind the liscense palte holes considering my car has none now anyways

I know what I used..but its sold over here in Europe..I bet you have some other stuff over there..but use a pretty rough grid at first..then finer and finer til you end up with a veryvery fine one....Its the same as all the stuff you use when you fix damages and dents..you do it exakt same way..so ask any bodyshop around and they can help you out..its no big deal at all really:)
