Thumbs down.

I remember when the Blitz-ripoff kit was kind of unique because it was based off a Supra.

Now the Supra's that actually have a *real* Blitz Kit look like they're a ripoff of an Eclipse trend.

Me? I want that EVO IV front end that is rare as horse shit, not the sensei, but the one that is an exact replica of the Lancer EVO IV front end. No one runs it (At least on actual cars). It's big, it's ugly, and would confuse the fuck out of everyone. Yaaarrr!

PS: Dig the crazy useage of chicken wire...

I always liked the 97+ Eclipse front ends, so I definatley like the old front better. I do, however, like the wing.

Pokey,
Sounds like a lil pent up jealousy of all the real DSMers with that tight azz 81 VEE DUB! :p LOL.

Thanks for all the comments...I knew most would like the old but it was just too plain for me. Not original.

how much for your old wing? i love the 97-99 wings and my car is white so i wouldnt have to have it painted. im serious here. also i think the car looks good, im not the biggest fan of body kits and those damn aluminum wings, but it doesnt look bad in white. i personally woulda left the stock wing or got something a little less aluminum. too many ricers around here with them. it kills me cause there are 2 Eclipse RS's with them and exhaust with the stock hubcap rims. silly i tell you

Well none of my stock parts are or will be for sale. I'm not gonna be the guy on the trader trying desperately to get stock parts back for his car so he can sell it :)

Tom Sawyher...i disagree with gettin new rims...i like those ones and they look bigger than 17"s...i dunno what it is...but i've seen 17"s on DSMs that just look tiny but those certainly dont...

so.. uh.. what did you do with the stock wing? I wouldn't mind having one of those on my GS-T.. ;) :D

You know, played out is a really relative term. I know of maybe a max of 5 people that have the full blitz kit on this board and none of them live in my city. Portland, OR is 1,000,000+ people and I have seen ONE Eclipse with the kit and it was a terrible install. Didn't even do it justice. Maybe played out at shows, but those cars never see the streets for the most part. I guess I just don't agree that it's played out. Kits are expensive to buy and to install properly and I don't think there are enough nicely kitted cars to proclaim that any kit is played out.

I bought the kit from a local shop but it is the Aerogear blitz kit. The wing I bought from Procarparts and it's the GTR IV style. It came all aluminum colored but I painted the decks white.

99mmcgsx- It will be staying clean, no graphics....and I think you follow what I've tried to achieve with the look.

Man, I can only wish I had a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit.

At least with one of those you could reach sub-1500lbs, have a decent suspension market, and a car that doesn't "lumber" through turns (AKA DSM's) and has an aftermarket that's more than one that's focused on drag racing and that's about it.

Oh, and I could actually competitively drive it on a road course (You know, those long roads with turns) for dirt cheap.

Wanna buy my '97 GSX? :p It's been nothing but dissapointments  . Serves me right for buying a car on my experience with the old one, and a hard-on for horsepower. What a retard I was. Maybe Koni's/Coilovers will make me like it more. Sigh.

If you have to have some chrome on your car, you should find a tuner wheel with a fat polished lip at least. Your car would be on a crazy insane diet with new wheels! Just my .02

Pokey,
Sorry to hear you aren't satisfied with your GSX. I drove a 1980 Scirocco as my first car that had the nicest suspension setup of any car I have driven to date so I know what you mean. Although even having it bored out and a few bolt-ons the performance left a little to be desired :) I think that a GC/Koni setup will help out although I thought the car handled rather well in stock form. Perhaps bars would help or a cage if you wanna get real serious about its handling characteristics. Maybe do a true coilover setup if it's that big of a deal to you...just a thought.

EDIT: I'm also sure I don't wanna buy your 97 GSX. I am not sure yet whether I can afford one 2G GSX, let alone two ;)
