I just got a buschur 95 ported manifold w/ external gate mounted
on it. I have the stock 14b,
and I need to know what I need to do to get this enternal WG setup to work?
weld the flapper shut?
I did search.
thanks for the help.

Tack weld the actuator arm and the waste gate flapper.

Just curious why you decided to go with an Ex. W/G with only a 14b? I'm assuming that you plan on upgrading to a 20G or similar sometime soon.

I got it all most new (6000 miles- 5months old) for $450
and yes I'm upgrading to a 8cm clipped FP GREEN or bigger.
maybe a RED or BR57
but i need to use it now (for more fun now) and i will have to put every thing back to stock for emmissions every year (F!ck the new roller system)

So I need to tack weld the WG flapper shut?
can I do this or do I have to take it to Turbochargers.com?
(20min from my house- Houston, tx)

If you can weld, then you can do it yourself. Take off the turbine housing and just tack weld the flapper shut. BTW- I was running a external with my 16G before I got my BR20.

So I can just tack weld the flapper shut and when it's time to put it back to stock for emmissions, I just brake the flapper loose and put everything back to stock.
(I will keep the stock manifold and 14b for emmissions every year)
How did you like the 16g ext. setup?

I will only have to do it once. I'll have the new turbo with in a year and a half.

You will need to take it to someone that can weld cast iron. A regular mig won't cut it. Also you'd prolly be better off routing the external dump back into the down pipe if you have local problems.
