This has turned out to be a good FP Green setup thread. We have discussed the FP Green, O2 housing, wastegates, FMIC, and everything :)

I imagine the FMIC will run me around 1K *ouch* all in all this upgrade will be over 3.5k to drop this beast in but well worth it.

Do you think I could run the stock SMIC just untill I save enough for the FMIC or should I just get the FMIC from the get go?

Definitely get the FMIC first or at the same time.

Well Damn :( IRC seems to be a highly recommended FMIC, is there another great FMIC that is substantially less? I imagine there isn't but it never hurts to ask. I have seen various FMIC's at RRE, but honestly some are damn UGLY. I can't have some ugly FMIC behind my "smiley - face" 96' front end - heh

My "runner up" FMIC was the Griffin (23" x 11.5" x 2.75" Side to Side $350 @ RRE). The only problem is that I haven't priced it with end caps and pipes. Also I haven't done many searches on it so I don't know what current owners think of them.

It seems the hardest part of the turbo upgrade is that the parts you need cost so damn much - but I guess it makes it all the more exciting when you get them.

A word of warning out there to people looking into buying a green.

I believe there are only 2 vendors outside FP that officially sell a green turbo from Fp. The rest are just counterfit Greens (hahaha) that people slap together thinking it's the same product, but it's truly not.

So becareful, I suggest going through FP or turbotrix.

I'm planning on going broke, *GULP* , i mean purchasing through FP tommorow. The only thing for me to decide is how much money will I spend on this. It seems without buying everything I can't really run it so it would be worse having parts laying around then paying off a credit card. The parts list so far are:

FP Green Ext- $1375
Evo III Mani - ported - $285
Tial 40mm - $289
SS Oil and Gaskets - $100
VP O2 housing - $275 (Ext WG routed into exhaust)
Dejon 3" Intake - $140
IRC FMIC - $1100-$1300 (depends on polishing)

After tax and shipping probably $4k *ouch*

I was hoping I could shave some off the parts list, but it seems I can't. Am I missing anything?

Group buy on GREENS! Will someone contact fp or turbotrix and see if they would have a group buy? How many people they would need, how much. $1275 is just barely out of my range right now.
I think a gb on greens would be extremely popular.

Yes we should call up turbotrix and get a group buy going. That would rock i would deffiently been in that. Im sure a lot of other ppl would too.

Well my parts are ordered except for the FMIC which I am hunting down and that leads to my question. Does anyone know if there is a VFAQ or anything for the FP Green installation? I haven't found anything.

You dont need an EVO exhaust mani to run the green. It will help on top end, but it is not "Needed". If you want to save a little cash, just port the shit out of your manifold.

Also, if you go to FP's web site it says they dont do group buys. FP is pretty much a no bullshit company that makes good shit period. They will bend over backwards to help their customers out, and make a killer product.

"You want to save a few dollars? You want a group buy? You want a turbo kit? Go somewhere else. You want to win? You've come to the right place. "

faded: you keep saying you are going to buy the IRC FMIC set up but they havent released the 2g set up yet have they? I was just going to buy the 2-216 core for 480 and weld some end tanks and have someone make me some pipes. Wouldnt that be a lot cheaper anyway?

Well their pics of the Race car is on a 2g so I imagine they have something - I hope... I sent them an email to see what it will cost for a 2g Race Core setup. I'll post the results once I get it, if not I will do the 2-216 core and end tanks seperately. ANyone know what end tanks they use?

Well the parts have started to arrive. I have posted pics for anyone interested. The O2 housing from Victory Performance looks great. I was curious how they were going to route it back into the exhaust, but it turned out clean. I will do some reviews once everything is slapped together.
