Oh I guess I missed that last round...I thought his race with Steph was it.

Either way, considering there are only three tube FWD's and GM came out of the box hitting that hard, it's impressive to me.

With all the money GM is putting into them they better come out hitting hard. I hope all the imports kick the crap out all the GM backed teams though.

Extreme...

...the Talon made passes at over 160MPH. 125 MPH in the 1/8.
Dave B.'s car is beautiful and moves pretty good, but, if he's hanging around 8.0, only something very wrong will keep the new tube car(not running as a mirage!)from besting Buschur's numbers. They built the car to be competitive....so what's competitive in that class????? 7.60's or better?

holy shit. if i had a dime for misquotes in this thread i would be rich.ok here is a few

..summit truck hasnt run faster than 184 not 188...and yes he hasnt won a race yet but is hands down the most consistant. thats what counts guys..look at simrock last year..never faster than 7.45's but won the championship.
and he doesnt run v8's they are in pro v8 he is in pro{4,6,rotor}

pro v8..turbonetics,blast, paisley..also acceptable is the northstar caddy motor or sohc ford..for the record the turbonetics celica{something brothers} have also built a twinturbo 4.6 ford..7.45's

siguel hasnt run faster then last years 7.33 at 181ish..i could be wrong on this but i dont think so. the guy to watch is marcos acosta that had the mx3 pro car..he came up with the secret 4 rotor.

i dont know what extremes website says about a tube mirage...but a few weeks ago he brought a tube hyundai scoop to maplegrove which he said was going to be his pro class car. ps...it looked like shit. half ass welds etc. he wont run with the big boys.

glazers awd{8.86} gets killed in that class{pro mod} but for a 2500 unibody he is fast..still the fastest unibody but the hondas are reelin him in jojo 8.89 bruce 8.95 rado 8.91.

shepards went 9.71 and as fast as 142..making him heavier quicker and faster than pruven. not knocking em at all...and shep does fine against those supras. titan now faster than bullish in the 6 speed tranny{9.42} to a{9.51 bullish} arent nearly as consistant as shepard.

the ecotec cav{tube in pro mod} is no joke. its taken them 3 months what it took everyone else 5 years. and although they too wont be able to catch carlos {rx3 i believe, 8.10's} they will be duking it out with steph and rado

the car to watch in pro mod is a late 80's z..he pits with siguel and the 300zprocar. he went 170 which is the fastest trap for a rwd in this class

the ecotec sunfire isnt doing as well in hot rod..but in its defense it is 10 times more a streetcar then its comp. real hood doors fenders. also they run a 10 inch slick.

bullish is running 2 solaras..ara's was having problems with the stutterbox{couldnt hold it on the line} georges car is doin well though.

Yes it is a Scoupe but he labels it as a mirage. On his site it says it is made for the pro class.

Lets just say that from first he went to third

with Callos and Bruce in front of him. Rado's record is for the outlaw/modified class as he was on alcohol which you could not use in the quick class.

Sheppard has never gone 9.71 and he has gone 148.xx already. You soon will hear of him dropping a few tenths though since at the last irdc event he ran his best ever of 9.81@143 missing 4th gear hence the reason for the low mph. Titan has gone 9.00@160.

oh yeah forgot one thing...i am rooting for the gm trio. its about time you got some real teams competing. thats my beef with import drag..so fuckin inconsistant. people trying to gain 5 tenths every weekend and blowing up cars like its there job. then running around like there head are cut off in between everyround. watch some nhra..16 car fields with less than a tenth seperating the 1 thru 16th qualifier. very professional. thats what raises the bar. not one fast pass.

anyway props to venom. they are unsponsered and compete in the 3 highest classes. taco in the pro supra in the pro mod and civic inthe hot rod..and to boot they are always qualifying in the top half of there field

get out of town. titan went 9.00's geez..he is going to have his hands full.. check to see if shepard went 9.71 in florida{1st race of season gainsville}...houston is the only race i wasnt aware of..this past weekend i suppose. and glazer and rado run the same class. all of hot rod can run alcohol this year{the clas below rado and glazer}. i dont know if venom is but i know jojo is. if dave said he sprayed who am i to argue. i heard differently is all. i miss houston and my stats are already off..cant say it isnt fast paced. what did bruce and jojo run? and is it san antonio this weekend?

Shepard did not come out to Gainesville

I was there. Like I said, his fastest to date is the pass I noted above.

Glazar has always been in the quick class, not the outlaw/modified class. That is the same class that callos, kubo etc where in. Rado WAS in that class but halfway through last year he went to alcohol and as you mentioned that was not allowed in the quick class last year therefore he started racing in the outlaw class and that is when he ran the 8.91. Now this year hotrod can run alcohol. Actually Callos is still running gas and Bruce is running alcohol.

Bruce ran a 8.81 167.07 he is now the fastest in the hotrod/quick class. Callos ran 8.825 161.40 in the NJ event. Glazar ran 8.87.

good link. thanks! is venoms new truck a tundra or a taco? iknow before jimmy crashed last year it was a taco{actually a s10 chassis} my mistake about glazers class. i dont know why i thought he was in pro mod. big len is. not that they should be confused.
and siguel going into the teens. good for him, what about abel? was he out there{tx}

Venoms new truck Is a tundra and is sick fast also.

Yes Big len is in the outlaw/modified class. He still chooses to run drag radiasl though

As far as Siguel, the best has yet to come out of that car

Yes abel came out to Houston with the old 2 rotor back in and ran a 7.4x at 17x. Not sure about that one. Edit found it was 7.443 176.77 Best pass to date I believe.
