Does anybody think I have a chance at beating my friend with his Z28? Unfortunately, my car is heavy with my sound system and everything stock still inside of it.

Mods are:
Injen Intake
T/28 Turbo
Apexi BOV
Buschur Racing UICP
Ported Exh Mani
Ported Oxygen Sensor
2.5" Downpipe
2.5" Hi-flow cat
HKS Hiper Exhaust
Walboro 255lph Fuel pump
Apexi AVC-R
Apexi AFC

Car has run a 14.9@95 mph. I know that is bad, but the car isn't tuned. Waiting for an EGT.

I would wait until your tuned. With those times you would lose.....bad.

With my old 95gst, I raced my friends 97 anvi. 6 sp up hill from 60-110. The z28 has a fipk and my gst maybe had 25hp over stock.
Starting in 3rd gear at 60, I was a car and a half behind him at 110. That is not too bad, he couldn't believe I was keeping up that good. I couldn't either.

I wish I was mid to high 13's. I don't know why I have such a bad time, but I figured it's from all the weight in my car, and that it isn't tuned. Wish I could make it faster, but it seems whatever I do, it still doesn't make it faster.

I thought the T28 was a mid to high 13 second car. Isnt ur time the same as stock.
It depends which T-28 he has he may not have a FP one. But even a stock T-28/ or the t-25 with those mods should be pulling 97-99 mph trap speeds on a FWD and should be a low 14 or high 13 sec car.

99GS-Tboost,

are you talking about getting a Eclipse GT? Is that what you meant by EGT? I wouldn't, stay with the GS-T and get rid of the sound system and then go race him. A 5 speed EGT does a 15 1/4 mile stock, with your heavy Stereo you're still faster. I have a sporty with Intake I'm lucky if I pull a 16 1/4 mile, with mods coming I'll do better but you are better off where you are at now.

Tune it first, you can take him.

If you loan me that AVC-R, and two weeks to tune it, I'll do it for ya ! :)

Launching an FWD = surgical tuning needed. The AVC-R can be that tool.... gear based boost control.

If you have patience to tune (get a datalogger son !) you can defeat a torquey American car. Is the Z-28 the big rig of the factory Camaros ? Like the Mustang Cobra ? I dunno the difference between on big V8 car and the next. I'm worried about some of the newer domestic cars, the 2003 Cobra-R is supercharged and is around 400hp. Vette Z06's are way too fast.

Clearly, I'm gonna have to get that FP 30 turbo.... and destroy my FWD drivetrain ! :D

I've got a 96 gst spyder 5spd I have had the turbo gone through(new bearings etc.)HKS bov and minor high proformance tune up stuff,I raced my buddies 99 SS camaro. We were doing about 40mph and I droped it down in to 2nd gear. I hit my peek power ban when I did this. He droped in to 2nd too but only for a split second (he has an automatic). While his car was shifting I was still running up the rpms. To my suprise I pulled on him and beat him by half a car length. That means nothing though. We started at 20mph and he killed me. Oh well.
