Okay, here is the deal. I own a 97 eclipse rs and i smoke weed, plain and simple, and the deal is, i want to be able to have a secret spot in my car that i would be able to stash it and i was wondering if anyone here has done this, or cut out a section or anything just to have a little secret compartment so if the car was to be searched the chances of finding it would be less than the chances of me putting it in the ashtray or glove compartment..heh. Thanks for your help.

That is a "mod" a modification to the car itself. I know there is someone on these boards that atleast has made a compartment like that maybe not for weed but for something else who knows. I doubt many people who drive eclipses or talons will be browsing that potsmoker forum.

Jesus man, at least say you're trying to hide some spare cash or something just in case and don't want anyone to be able to find it. That just makes the board look trashy. I got an idea tho. Up your bung hole? I pitty the cop that would check there.
I smoke pot too - frequently, even.
However, have you considered the fact that your car is not really the best place to keep it? Do you smoke while you're driving around? If so, you should stop - pot is good for relaxing, but it certainly doesn't help your driving ability.
I do understand that there are times where you need to transport it from point A to point B, but since you're asking how to make a permanent modification to your car to hide it, I have to assume you keep your pot in your car on a regular basis. This just really isn't a good idea, and it's not worth the trouble you can get into.
Keep it at home, but if you have to have it in the car, just shove it in your pants.

On the center console there, where the cupholder/ashtray is, you can lift that whole assembly out by hand. Plenty of space under there.

Michael, I see what you are saying, but I know what I am looking at (and hope that Steve is trying to get at too) is that it makes this board look like we condone this. For me, if you want to do it fine, but dont come on to this board and ask me how to stash your illegal drungs. That is my very simple view on it. I just feel that this kind of stuff gives the board a bad name.
I agree with you that there are responsable people that do it, but I dont see the reason to broadcast it on an internet board either. We all know that it is very possible for the government to track you down based on that if they wanted to (not saying that they would waste their time on that, but that they could). I just think it is pretty pointless and not really needed.

Here's an idea, why don't you just sit back relax, and light up the bowl, bob, j, bong, etc and get hiiiiiiiiiigh as a kiiiiiiiite while listening to some Phish and I am sure that you will come up with a good idea.

If you're willing to go to great lengths to simply hide a bag of weed, why not put that creative energy towards quitting so you don't have to worry about it?
I'm not trying to preach to you or anything, I really don't give a sh*t what you do, but if people would put as much time and money into something more productive than buying and stashing pot, we'd probably have a cure for cancer by now

Well this would be a good idea all depending on where u live and how determined this cops r in trying to find ur weed. Most will do a basic search for it, and would only tear apart your car if they have a k-9 that would pick up the scent. An idea would be to have a stash of dog treats in a seperate location away from ur weed, this would throw the dog off since they r strictly trained with positve reinforcement.
Another idea is the trunk. The trunk offers lots of places behind panels (trust me i know) and I beleive with most dsm's there is a switch if ur trunk is open, it lights up an door ajar light. So rig up one of those high-sonic dog things to trigger when the trunk is open, the dog wouldnt go near the trunk and that might provide some safety measure. Because then if the dog doesnt go near it, they cant lawfully search it without ur consent or probably cause (a dog being scared to go near ur trunk is not probable cause).
Try under the spare tire, in the tire well, good place to make a compartment there, but would be a pain to get 2 all the time.

first off, thank you vr4gazm that was something i was looking for. For the rest of you do your homework. America makes a shit load of money on weed when it's illegal. Why do you think it's not legal. Second, i smoke pot because i want to and because i enjoy it. No we wouldnt have a cure for cancer if everyone stopped smoking pot. Most of you probably don't even know the real reason it was made illegal. Also, i dont drive around a lot with weed but i do not plan on walking 10 miles if i want to take it somewhere with me. And the cops around my area only have like 2 k-9 units and i just wanted someplace to stash it besides on me or in some open spot in the car. and stanfosd if they did they would probably come arrest your mom or someone close to you. Someone who smokes marijuana is arrested every 40 seconds. Think about it. That many people , they wouldn't be able to control--just another reason im a libertarian. I agree it should not be on this board but it's not like someone on a pot board is going to have an eclipse by chance...all i was looking for is somethin like vr4gazm said. Thank you.
