Hey guys i'm about to get a turbo from forced performance, the Big T28. I was thinking of letting them port out my o2 housing and exhaust manifold. They charge $95 to port anytihng. I saw that RRE charges less, $80 for manifold and $75 for o2. Is there any advantage of spending the extra 35 to let FP port them out? Should I take my stuff to a local shop? To be honest I don't think anyone around here can port for crap.

Anyone had any experiences with either company? Specificly with their porting work? Thanx

Forced Performance

I can vouch for Forced Performance's porting. Just got a Green from 'em and had them port the turbine housing. Let me say that this thing is absolutely gorgeous. The turbine inlet is perfectly circular and gradually tapers down, no lumpy, bell-type taper. The turbine outlet is also nicely smoothed and enlarged. The wastegate area was widened and enlarged also for use with an external gate. All in all it was a VERY pretty piece done VERY nicley. I'd put it on my coffee table for display if these damn cars weren't so fun to drive :D Just my 2 cents on Forced Performance.

Even though this isnt either Forced Performace or RRE... ive read on the boards that TRE does a great job on porting. So maybe you can check them out? Can someone back me up on this one?
