Forget Cheap paints. Send your manifold to Jet-Hot and get the 2000 degree coating. No rusting, no chipping.. Looks Great, and supposely it will last forever. Mines been on for almost a year, and it looks like the day I got it back from them. Cost about $110 or so, whish is WAY cheaper the HRC coating @ $280..

Since I''ve put a couple of coats on it hasn't rusted or chipped or anything like that. I'm sure the Jet-Hot coating looks better, but then again we are comparing something that costs 5$ to something that costs over 100$.

Any pics of this Jet-Hot manifold? I too agree that 100+ dollars seems like a bit much for a non-show car. It would be interesting to see though. My vote is still for the Hot Paint.

Damn, it was working. I'll upload it somewhere else when I get home.

This is just one coat of paint, it looks much better now. I will get a recent pic soon.

If you do throw them out thermal wrap the turbo and downpipe. That might actually end up giving you better performance (slight) while keeping the temps down under the hood which can effect intake charge temp and can also limit the life of rubber parts and other things from thermal stress.

Rob
I themal wrapped my turbo, IC piping, and manifold and cure every overheat problem I ever had. See my post in product review (DEI Heat wrap) for more details...............
