sometimes i wonder if this stuff is actually worth posting....:D

well on the way home from work yesterday, i pick up peter and we basically went rice hunting... :) well what happened was, when we turn out of peter's street, a riced out maxima with blue lights and a large muffler flies by us... of course peters startes yelling at me to catch up to that thing...after a few minutes, i pull up right next to him pacing him at about 40 mph... there is a merge up ahead... he floors it and gets about half a length on me because i gassed it at the bottom of 4th... then when i realize is something i can't do with my honda.... i'm actually flying by this guy and making his cocky ass look dumb..

well while i was slapping around the maxima, i see some more rice up ahead... more blue lights.. but i realize a car is coming at me in my lane  he swerves to avoid me and the maxima and swerves back into the opposing lane again.. it was two dumb hondas racing each other and the dumbass guy was racing in our lane  that fucking dumbass

well that was the usual boring friday night here in northbrook and hopefully there will be something exciting tonight for pete, guerric and i to pick at...:D

The maxima is not ment to be a racing car, they had some Maximas at a track event here and they were high 16 second cars, it's kind of sad concidering they do sport a powerfull v6 225 horsepower engine (i think) in any case I think the maxima is more of a Luxury Car then a sports car (its limited to 110)

maximas are nice but I wanna try one of those new M5's the ferrari 355's are nice cars for top end but for acceleration i'll keep my gsx I had a small acceleration contest with one and I pulled on him on second gear but those new M5's are supposed to run mid 11's stock

Mid 11's Stock?!?!

There is no way in hell a stock M5 will run mid-11's. My friend here at school has one; and while it's a bad-ass machine, and I would trade my ride for it in a heartbeat, it won't run mid 12's...much less 11's.

A 400bhp vehicle that weighs about 4000 lbs. won't touch 11's.

The m5 is a 400 hp car, which runs 0-60 in 4.8 Seconds and runs threw the 1/4 mile in 13.3 Seconds

11.9 seconds=The New 6.0L Awd Diablo
11.8 seconds=Ruff Twin Turbo
11.4 Seconds=Ferrari Modena Koening Edition (turbo)
11.5 seconds=Ligenfelter C5

Now those are REAL 11 seconds cars without the use of slicks,

my bad i was thinking about the tuned one that i saw on overboost.com

M5

According to the March 2001 issue of Motor Trend:
"0-60 in 4.75 secs, quarter mile in 13.07 seconds at 107.21 mph" Those times were actually faster than the C5 Corvette (not a Z06) they tested in the same issue by .05 secs 0-60 and .03 secs in the quarter mile. Keep in mind these are professional drivers. Your everyday M5 driver:
1. Probably won't have the skill level to put up those numbers.
2. Won't be driving a $69,400 (base model) car like that.

that article pissed me off cause why wouldnt they use a Z06!!!?!?!?! i didnt read it so maybe they said why...

in another motor trend the z06 ran like a 12.6 or something rediculously great.

also, the ratings were all kinda poor for the vette on handling and such, yet it killedthe higher rated ones on the track.

13.07 for a 4000lbs car... AMAZING!!!!

i love vettes and bmw's so im torn
