Well, they weren't on the line at the same time....but I saw a 1GAWD still on the 14B run a 13.46 and a Lambo SV or VT (I know it wasn't SVT) run a 13.5X at IRP tonight (same lane about 10 minutes apart). I wanted to go and take a look at the Lamborghini, but I also didnt want to be included in the crowd of ego-boosters. I went and spoke to the talon owner, and he was still running his 14B, but at 20lbs! geez, I guess 116octane helps more than I thought.
 
20psi, you sure he didnt fry his engine, he must of had some good ass supporting mods, rebuilt bottem end, etc.

Yea with 115oct I still only run 20psi on my car, and I have a 16g. That lambo driver either was absolutely horrible or just was babying her. That car should be capable of high 11's if driven right. The Diablo VT is all wheel drive by the way, can we say "uhhhhhhhh"
 
14b powa!!

Last season I was running my stock unported 14b at 20 psi on 100 octane and running 13.3's.
Not that difficult.
Now im running 20 psi on the big 16g until I get something other than the stock 450's.

nope, I was quizzing him, he was all stock through the motor. Stock Injectors and fuel pump. He had the 116 race fuel, but thats all the more he had in that area. Stock SMIC, everything. I was pretty impressed. As for the lambo....less than impressed.
 
theres a guy around here that drives a Blue 1g that has a 14B and runs low 13s
of course i didnt beleive it so i looked under the hood.
yep, it was a good ol' 14B

funny thing though, he doesnt have a MAS.
it just looks like K&N air filter on a polished CAI pipe :confused:

Thats called a HKS VPC. :)

Ya, I'm prety sure Kevin runs a VPC. From what I heard he just orded a Frank(not sure what level). But he is sponsred by Importautoworkz.

Fathouse ran +20psi on his 14b to get a 12.5 wif i/e and act 2600.

2g's have higher base fuel pressure

14b's typically failure if you use +20psi frequently from what i've seen. keep it under 20 'cept fo da races!!!

Phil Beers

My old neighbor is Phil Beers, he has the countries (last I knew) fastest 14B DSM in the country, his best time slip is 12.05 (I believe). He posts here once in a while, Phil1320, look up his previous posts to see his setup. It’s the cleanest most beautiful 1G I have ever seen hands down. Hitting 11’s is his goal for the car, I hope he gets there soon!!!
 
im pretty sure reitman hit like a 12.0 or around there on 14b ages ago - he ran a 11.44 at the SO :D (with big turbo+fmic of course)

i thought someone ran an 11.9 on 14b+spray

20psi is high for a 14b, but I've seen higher. I've seen one of my friends run 22psi on a 14b turbo. He might have had a few upgrades, like a ported o2 or something like that, but it was a 14b running 110oct gas. Of course that's about as much as a stock turbo will flow, but if you had a 20g pushing 22psi, that would be a different story... hella cfms, also hella broken parts for stock engine =)
