DSM vs bike

first off, i'll state mods so nobody thinks i'm lying. i have a boost controller, set at about 14psi, ported 2nd gen exhaust manifold, rewired fuel pump, and a few other things. his bike was brand new, and completely stock. now on to the race

i was sitting at a stoplight on a highway near my house (yes kansas highways have stoplights... what a wonderful state!) and this kid is next to me on a brand new bike. i give him a rev, and he just looks over and nods... anyways, it was a murder. i killed him! through first gear, i stalled the launch, and he got a few quick carlengths on me. i restarted my car, and off i was. first went by quick, and i was still a bit behind him. second gear came, and i pulled even with him and started pulling away. by the time i shifted to 3rd gear, i was about a hundred feet in front of him (no joke). by the time 4th gear came, i was about a half mile ahead of him. yes, he was racing me, and yes i killed him. maybe next time he'll peddle faster

Unless he had a honda rebel 250cc , he wasnt racing

you actually stalled out your engine when you were racing????thats a first, hehehe. did you now have your engine reved up or something??

Yeah it had to be a 250 if it was new. If it wasn't new, some of the dorky bikes from the 70's are slow. As some guy demonstrated on the freeway earlier this week

LOL! i figured that by my last statement of "maybe next time he'll peddle faster" it was pretty clear the dude was on a bicycle! i did stall on the launch, but my car has(had) some crazy hesitation, which is why i was shifting at about 4k the whole time

it was a shiny blue 18speed... that'll put him in his place

now, i put the lower honeycomb back in, and the hesitation is gone, the knock is completely gone, and i can feel safe shifting over 4k again

bring on the v8's!

Yeah I feel dumb. I saw it the first time, but I thought that was a joke about a motorcycle being slow. I was also looking for the type of bike you listed. I guess I just never bothered racing a bike/skateboard/rollerblader/grandma with walker. As funny as you think it is, you got OWNED all the way through 1st, now thats FUNNY

yeah, i live in kansas city. i frequent about a dozen different areas of it, but mostly overland park, shawnee, lenexaish, leavenworth, lawrence, and about anywhere in between, or within 20 miles of any of the above listed. yeah, i drive a lot

i haven't met any dsm drivers yet since i've owned my car (about 2 months), but would be down to meet whoever

and yes, i did get owned in first gear by a bicycle

that happens when you kill the car. now that problem is fixed :happy:
