Be at the shop friday night to deliver, the pipe on the flange is 1.5" long if your wondering.

Drawing for flanges is ready i will be cutting numerous of these flanges out of 1/4" or 3/8" steel. I can cut out of stainless if you are planning on going stainless system but need to know what type and how many as they are a little harder to come by for free than the carbon steel ones. As you can see from the drawing there are stock sizes, 2.5", 3" (two-bolt) and 3" (three-bolt) patterns. I will probably cut atleast 20 of the 2.5" and the three inch (two-bolt) to strt with or i also drew up a 2.5" three bolt but that may be a little over kill. just let me know what you want. All the two bolt type flanges will bolt right up to the stock Downpipe.'

Interference is a bad thing, I think.

Well last night at Miketribal house we pulled the head off the car and wamo! one of the intake valves pierced the piston head:eek:
and when we looked at the head side it was scared and dented from the rod. ouch!!! well the good thing is mike already has a motor with 9:1 JE's, balance shafts removed, and ready to rock. The plan mike said is to try to find a jdm cyclone and drop it in he's got a deal on one for $1400. He said he's going to try to get it today or tomorrow so we can swap motors a.s.a.p.

The question is what should he do while he has it out, maintenece wise i mean. James suggested he change his front end bushings, check his tranny, change all his driveline fluids and remove all unessecary vacum lines and emission bullshit. Mike will be real lucky if he gets a jdm with 510cc injectors and a big 16g. throw some fuel mods and a fmic on that and look out. Well he will be doing an engine rebuild, so if your interested or would like to help out to gain some knowledge give him a call or email him, i'm sure he'd appreciate all the help he can get. We really need an engine hoist! well I'll let him explain further.

What's up for tonight? I'll be at the shop around 7:00 to drop off some of thew 1g blowoff flanges and take measurements on my down pipe and cat. I will be getting my turbo on Sat.:D I still need to buy allot of things to go along with it but i'm collecting it all steadily. When i have all my ducks in a row and the manifold ready i will be installing . Probably in a couple of weeks. Were gonna see if the 420A can handle 9psi daily and 12psi @ the track on Sunoco. If i can get the motor to take the abuse on 15 psi i might run it once or twice to see what's up. well see i am so excited!!!!!!

He can spend $1400 for a jdm motor or he can use it to rebuilt the motor. If he has a built motor with JE's, why dont use that?

Spend the $1400 on performance parts to built the head. ARP headstuds, crower valve springs and titanium retainers, HKS cams, HG. Or he can spend it for other performance mod.

Hey guy's what's up? Do you guy's work on other people's car...well actually I can work on mine but I need and engine hoist. I blew one of the bearings inside the engine out and the belt's on the pulleys are rubbing on each other.

Jw ~ James and I tryed to tell him to use the built motor and go from there but he thinks it might have been damaged by the movers so he is going to claim it on his moving insurance and use the money to buy the JDM. James already has dibs on the built short block, and i have dibs on james' motor and mikes 14b. We'll see where it goes from here.

The streets sure are dry tonight!!! I say we all meet at the shop at around 7:30-8:00 and head to the spot at around 10:30-11:00 and see who's running what. oh yeah and as far as Andy and Tony go I got $20 on Andy in the 1/4, any takers? Post if your down with tonight.

Sounds like you guys have been doing alot of stuff over there. I might try to make it up to the shop tonight if anyone else is going I need to pick up a part from wades house then leak test my chit yo. Still has leak but it is SO much better now, Seems to pull pretty well up to about 5 or so then starts the whole leaking down more thing. The best part is it will only drop to 12 at the lowest so I am pretty stoked. If anyone needs uicp I feel confident I can make em pretty good now after this first one. Especially with these 1g bov flanges dennis made for us. By the way dennis let me know when you get the o2 flanges made so i can check em out and make a rough attempt at building the first one then it gets more easy from there.

Jrm_41, we help each other out with different issues, unfortunately we do not have a Engine hoist at the shop. We would be glad to help in any other way, just let us know.

Mike, Cant wait to see what becomes of the DSM. Should be NASTY :D!! Hopefully that Scotch Tape with my name on it helped out a bit.

Frank, Tristrum, Did yall get that 1g tot he shop yet?

Mad Spooler, Whats the 411 on your car? Are you getting a 6bolt to put in? If you do decide to buy, you should post the price your getting it for incase we might be able to find one cheaper. (I know the Junkyard we were at a few weeks ago had one....I got the BOV unfortunately)

Andy, Hows the test pipe working out for you? Did it give you a noticeable power gain? How much was it? Did it bolt right on? How many cups of milk can it hold? Do you think putting a fresh coat of Pam on the inside will help the flow? How much more HP will you get with the coat of Pam?

James, Whats the dealio with the Blitz front end? I wouldnt think it would be to hard to repair. What about your bud in Louisiana, doesn't he do Fiber work?

Josh, We need to log a couple of 3rd Gear runs and see whats going on. I still have the power cord to the computer in my car.

Angel, Hows that Racing Fever coming along? I think it might worsen this weekend. :)

Everyone, We still need some help with Next months Shop Rent, so just give what you can. If you give over 100 bux, you get a FREE Win A Race Card. I probably need it more than anyone else :)

Drew Berrymore, Not sure if you've been getting the letters I've been slipping under you door at night, emails, rocks through the windows, or the Public Bathroom Stall Carvings, but I just wanted to touch base with ya so we can come up with a date and time to make those Babies I was talking about. Just give me a call, my number is written on your lawn with Gasoline. If you cant read it right now, just give it a couple of days and it should start turning yellow. :)
