Alright, if nobody else will get off their lazy arses and organize some kind of DSM club for the Houston area I will!! Whoever is interested just post some kind of reply. I live in the Humble area, every Saturday night there is a fairly lame car show at the Jame's Coney Island about a mile from my house. Maybe some Saturday night we could all meet up at my house and head over there for a while, look at some cars, then maybe head out to Rankin or something. I dunno. Or maybe just head back to my house and put a few down or something. Or maybe nothing at all if nobody is interested. If anybody thinks this sounds like fun, or at least something to do, shoot me an email, iland_99@yahoo.com and lemme know what's up. Thanks.

Yes, I am in the market for a 6 bolt right now. It can either be the block or the complete motor, because I've read that you can just bolt the 2g head on it, port it to match the 1g intake manny and the gains are extremely impressive. And someone told me it was built stronger too. And I just got a 3 angle valve job on mine.. so... I don't want that money to go to waste. Anyway, the offer so far right now is around $300-$400 for the short block.. anyone got any better offers? It can't be DSM specific because we have other cars in our group as well. VW's and a Civic as well as others (3g is NOT a dsm!! )

Thanks for the price Andy, I went to another shop and ordered a 3inch Center inlet/outlet Magnaflow muffler for $73 so you can't beat that. I like the design of the muffler because there is no restrictions at all. It's a straight through design. Anyway is there any way that you can take pics of your custom exhaust. I wasn't able to buy a U-bend mandrel bent pipe around here but I did get 2 3inch 90degree bends. I'm trying to figure out how I can work the 2 90's into the exhaust. I know I can use one of the 90's but i'm wondering if I should try and get a 45 degree bend. let me know.

Hey, I'll help you out with the 1g motor into a 2g swap. I'm thinking about doing this myself right now.. cause my motor walked on me. But right now we're thinking about putting a 6 bolt crank into a 7 bolt motor.. I don't know if it works. It sounds like it won't though. We shall see. Also, do any of you guys know the EXACT cause crankwalk? Is it because mitsu made a few cranks that were out of spec? Or some problems with the bearings? I'm trying to figure out if we can find a solution to this problem or I'm going to have to do the 6 bolt swap.97TURBOD said:

I've never taken the motor out, but this time around I'm going to stick around Inline Racing and help him pull my motor out, learn a thing or two. The 1g motor swap doesn't seem too hard at all... just some sawing and wiring. If you reuse the 2g head, it's even simplier.

Huy, my exhaust was press bent so he just bent the shit out of the pipes to get them throught that area.
Did we ever get that other car towed to the shop? Can i call dibs on the shifting rod?

Mad spooler, It was the bearings. Some of them off the line had play in them and mitsu in all their infinite wisdom decided not to recall them (because their lazy asses did want to overhaul every turbo 2g engine)

Andy do you have any pics of the exhaust off of the car? I'm trying to get a general idea of what bends I need. How is that press bent exhaust feel?
Anyway I guess today is the big day for our meeting and pics. So we should all be there around 6 right and at the shop? Let's start a roll call to see who is all going. Right now I know at least 5 or so people from the CSP coming down.

Hey guys, I kicked a ducati's ass last night. It was an older one but I had my 250 lb friend in the car to. Is that bad ass or what? Of course after I kicked his ass his other crotchrocket friends began ligning up with me and kicking my ass! But that's one bike under my belt!

I'll be there. Sorry i dopn't have pics of my exhaust. Press bent feels fine. A lot better than the stock shit that's for sure. Are we gonna go to the track tonight by any chance? I'd like to see what i can run after i get that MBC on there!

Heh Aight, I'm dropping a JDM in my car too if the punkass at the import co. ever gets his shit straight! "Oh yes it can ship tommorow if you order before 1, I wait for his email to come with the pics so I know what kinda shape its in, and wait and wait, no email no phone call... Call them today and "Oh we might have a motor on Monday we dont currently have one..." WTF is up with that !@#$#@!#@!$ GRRRR my car was sposed to get gutted Tuesday in prep for the drop in, now it looks like ANOTHER week w/o a car.... 3month mark approaching.... may I *will* just rebuild this one... GRRR dont want to spend $1000 on internals when I can get the motor I want for $1100!
