MANNAIII!

havent heard from you in a while man :)

I'm in the process of finding out my HP using the Apexi RSM. just one problem is that I cant seem to figure out the exact weight of my car.. still cant find anywhere to weigh it. I tested the HP @ wheels and got 229 HP @ 5800 rpm (around 260 HP at crank) thats on 15psi boost at 4th gear (190 km/h)
I think thats a bit high HP unless my car is already tuned or something!

when they test an engine on the dyno to get crank power do they use the full exhaust and intake system that will be on the car?

Import Tuner magazine reviewed the RSM and tested it on their Skyline GTR. as far as accuracy is concerned their skyline was around 401 HP at the wheels on a dyno and the RSM showed around 411 HP.. thats a 2.4% error which is pretty close. I just have to figure out the weight of my car.. right now I'm just guessing!

heres the review if you're interested:

Fahad,

I've heard of a dyno in Sharjah in Arabian Automobiles or something.. though I'm not too sure.. Khaled is planning on gettin a dyno but he said its pretty expensive and they're going to move to a new larger garage anytime now.. make sure you go visit him... and say hi to him for me. he recently sponsored my car and gave me a big discount on labour :)

oh and I left Dubai just a week ago and I'm back in Australia again.. coming back on 21st September. I'll post a few new pics once I get to scan them :)

hey marv i still havent got around to picking the apex'i rsm up yet. is there any recycling places near you, or perhaps junkyards. those places will usually let you drive your car on for free if they are not too busy. and if im not mistaken, the g-force sensor has the ability to estimate horse power. that might be an alternative route for $60
