I was just looking at this months import tuner and thought that some people would like to know this:

www.decah.net is selling a kit that requires no welding to convert our doors to open vertically. I know there were threads mentioning this before, but everyone said it would cost like 6000.

Well, the MSRP is 1599, so the street price will probably be around 1000-1200 or so. Just wanted everyone to know...I think this may be actually worth it for someone who wants to do this.

That would seriously be awesome. I have always wanted up opening doors so that I don't have to worry about banging into stuff. The price is a little steep, but if it actually is as easy as they say and it maintains the structural rigidity of the door then I would actually consider it. Thanks for posting it up. -Ian

I think it's probably going to be a kit for the 2g, then the 3g will probably get one. I doubt the 1g will get it. This is totally new, so who know's how long it will take before we see the kit's they are promising, it may be a few weeks, it may be a few years. Before, I never was very intrested in these, but after checking them out from SCC, then going to the webpage a about a week ago, it kinda changed my mind. Still, I don't think it would be anything that I would put near the top of a mod list, but it's kinda a trick little kit. It would be fun for the looks you'd get.
