Where can I get a test pipe for a '97 Eclipse GS???

How would this be a joke?

It's actually my friends car and I'm trying to do some research for him. I can't get a muffler shop to do anything for me. I found one on the net for $70 but know they have to be cheaper than that.

So any ideas??? I figured that someone would know the answer to this.:confused:

Is this GS cat, the same with a GST cat? If so, I can get you one a lot cheaper than $70. RTP

I have friends with 3000GT's who have run without exhaust or with a straight through design and ran better times than with a cat. Why would that be if you need the back pressure?

Well I've had a couple of friends with 3000GT's that have put on straight pipes, and also raced without exhaust and made better times than with the back pressure.

My friends GS has headers and a cat-back and definitely runs faster times.

Your missing the point here and that isn't very good evidence. For 1, he still has a cat. Yes it will be faster to a point but if you remove to much backpressure IE: the cat, you will lose low end power. Tell him to try it ;)
