I was thinking of getting a full fiberglass hood, and putting some projector style driving lights in the faux headlight housing. I was gonna cut holes in them so that the projector lens just fits through the hole, and paint the rest of the housing black maybe? Was thkinking of having 2 sets too. One on for low beams and both on for high beams?

i like the fact that my head lights pop up.
when i get tired of them, i just yank the head light motor fuse out of the fuse box and the light shines out of the headlight trim.
how does that look? does it still provide enough light to see ahead ?( i know that sounds stupid, but im just curiuos cuz i havent tested it out yet) also, do you think the cops would hassle you for it?

they would look much better if the used a round housing rather than the square one.

While I agree with that statement, I just would like stationary lights better. I dont really like the 92-94 style that much though.

Also, the before shot of a stock headlight and the after shot with the halo headlights, I think the black housing plastic is missing. Seems like the Halo headlight is oversized and you can't put the black plastic housing back around the new headlights!
One thing I noticed is that they did not show the lights actually installed on a DSM. In the pics, they are installed on an older Toyota Celica. So when installed on a DSM, you might be able to use that trim piece(it is more than likely different than the Celica piece).

I really don't mind them at all, if they are good quality. Since when is being able to see better at night rice? Yes, you can change the "halo" to a different color, but in all honesty, does the Superwhite bulb/blue outer rim bulb combo look that bad? I like the way it looks, and if it allows me to see better at night then that is even better. I live in deer country, so being able to see good at night is VERY important to me.

It would be nice to know what the housing is made of, plastic wouldn't be too bad, but glass would be better. I would love to do a HID conversion if it wouldn't be so damn expensive.

I've heard of people melting the plastic housings, I've seen it on one occassion with my friends '88 S-10.

Josh- I know the feeling of living in deer country, it's also Opossum country, pig country, turkey country, etc.. :D That's why I'm thinking of just shelling out the money for a pair of Hella's for the daily if I don't sell her soon :(
