well........the other night i was at the track and figured i would try to qualify for the import quick 8 and sure enough i managed to qualify! whoo hoo!!! Anyway in the first qualifying run i managed to race a sr20det powerd 240sx with an hks turbo and all kinds of other modds. Anyway we ligned up and i was a lil nervous because i know the potential of the sr20! Well the lights drop and boom we are off i pull like a 1.85 or so 60ft and i was hardcore ahead, hit second and im still ahead with a full view of him in my rear view, third gear, my the most horrible gear ever when you have a t25, i glance in the rearview and he was no longer there so he was in my blind spot then the last like 100 or so feet this man pulls ahead and freekin wins! i was like damnt damnt son of a bitch! lmao! anyway i busted a 13.8@96 and he busted a 13.6@100+ not for sure what mph i need to dig the slips out. anyway the guy had the nerve to ask me what happened to me? hahaha i said T25 buddy! thats all i gotta say! lmao anyway heres a link for some pics of the car and it tells some of his modds its not up to date though! but it gives ya a good idea http://www.turbofour.com/projectcars/jr.htm

yeh you had to bring in out didnt ya!!! lol i didnt want to flame this guy simply becaus he's friends with a guy on this board by the name of "TRANMAN" but he was busting on my car pretty hard and i thought to myself man ohhhh man, i have a t25 and you have HK$ on your side and you can only turn 13's whats up with that? but i never said it I dont feel like going through a battle! he did manage to upset me but its all good, cause he got put out by a first gen that hit a 13.00 so i felt good when i saw that.

The Evo and Galant VR4 guys here stock versus stock stomp on the SR20DET RWD cars. The GTI-R's run dead even though. I doubt the guys car was stock because the redtop S13 motor was only 205hp. They do have the 3rd and 4th gear pull though but they are hard to get traction with once you put real power to them.

He is kind of a prick sometimes when it comes to racing other people, but he's a cool guy most of the time.
He has pulled 13.0XX @ 112.XXmph trapspeeds on that turbo relatively untuned...with horrible 60' times and a bad second gear syncro. So he's definitely got power. And his car is a monster on the highway. He pulls away from me pretty quick in fourth gear. And he almost keeps up with my roommate's BPU++ Supra.
I respect his car...but wait 'til I get my HK$ camgears, HK$ camshafts, APR headbolts, metal headgasket, and FP Green turbo installed...then we'll see who is faster

an upgraded HKS turbo and only got a 13.6@ a little over 100mph?thats pretty shitty u might want to check the turbo,my friend with a sr20det went 13.1@105 with the stock t25 turbo on the motor...

http://www.turbofour.com/projectcars/robertchen.htm hah I like the high quality photoshopping of those pics ESPECIALLY the one of the intercooler I can see why they would do the top pic to make the car stand out more, but that intercooler looks so fake its not even funny they could've at least gotten a picture like that of a car with a real intercooler. Well on second thought, it does look like it could be real and that they just selected those areas and brightened them up to make it stand out but still... why do that? Not sure how your friend intends to make it legal since it was never sold in the US, never went through any impact tests, barely meets Japans emissions tests, and isn't listed by the DOT as an importable car. However yes they are fast as crap. The 30% drivetrain loss that most owners see is what sucks but with 270whp the owners are putting down low 12's and 12 flat. Not bad at all. The rear diffs in them suck though. Mine was already whining. The gears in the M/T are actually very large.

He's buying it off of a guy who had already imported it and modified it to meet US safety specs. He currently has a very nice Supra TT, but after racing the guy in the Pulsar realized how quick they were and it just so happened that the guy with the pulsar was buying a Skyline so was selling off the Pulsar and my friend is supposed to be buying it soon, dunno when exactly though.

OK there is NO legal GTI-R. Its not on any import list, there is no DOT authorized conversion shop, its never been through any crash tests in the US and you can bet if your friend actually had one on the street he'd lose his ass if he ever had a wreck. Just as there is only 1 authorized conversion shop and its Motorex. Besides the GTI-R has a miserable crash rating in Japan. They fold up if you hit a curb. If he says it meets US safety specs then ask him to provide the detailed list from the DOT and the webpage that shows its a legal importable car. I've owned one and I know first hand its not on any list and the DOT disapproved my request for a waiver to import it based on the limited production run and rarity or the vehicle. Sorry to burst your friends bubble but its a felony to import a car illegally as well as insurance fraud if he lies to his insurance company. So basically your friend is full of shit.

Yes, that is a real car. I was the one who did the effects to make the car stand out more. One of the reasons being that the pictures that were supplied by him were horrible.
