taillight mod

so, before I had the 2 side red tailights and the clear center piece. I was getting a little tired of that and wanted something different.

What do you think?

I took the stock red taillight, put a long/thick piece of masking tape across it. I drew the word "turbo" with pencil in sort of the style I wanted. kind of a mix of the porsche turbo emblem. I then used an exacto knife to cut out the letters. Peeled off the tape. I had the paint touch up guys at my work match my color code. I then peeled off the tape covering the letters and clear coated it.

Looks good, but I would've done upper-case letters in a similar font to the GST/GSX emblems on the hatch.

yeah, I went with the lower case letters (like porsche) to make it more suddle(sp?). But I agree, matching the letters of "GST/X" would be cool to.

turbo=good - Now you just need to get a bulb behind there and get it to light up when your lights are on

nice job turbo=good, i wanna do something similiar to that to my 1g but instead of putting turbo put Black Demon in the middle but i dont think it would work on my talon, i know it would of worked on my eclipse but thats been sold

My friend who painted it mentioned putting a light behind it. That would be really cool. have it come on when breaking or something so when the car you just beat understands why he just lost

My first idea was(since I had the clear lense in the middle) to make the letters clear in the middle. Those lenses can be made with a light inside if you wanted. The red ones have paint behind them, so no light would shine through. Thats nothing a little scraping can't fix
