I installed a 1st gen TB on my car and all of a sudden I had a really bad idle surge problem. On the 1st gen TB I put the TPS, ISC, and BISS from my 2nd gen TB so I did not know what the problem could be. I them put the stock 2nd gen TB with everything back and the car was back to normal. Anyone have any idea of what could have caused the problem? Is there something on the TB that can cause this?

The TPS was adjusted perfectly. I used the same BISS screw I was using on the 2nd gen TB which works fine. No vacuum leaks that I could tell plus I have had vacuum leaks before and they never caused idle surge.

And are you missing the BISS screw. Is it leaking at the screw. Or there could be Vacuum leaks too.
Clearly there is a vacuum leak around the throttle body area. Did you replace the gasket or did you just use the old one.

Pressurize the intake track and listen for air leaks, make sure all vacuum hose are connected tightly.

There was no vaccum leak I pressure tested the system. On the 2G I don't know the two points to ground at and after I put the original TB I adjusted it the same way as I did on the 1st gen and the car is running like it was before.
