t25 play

i have wheel play in my t25 now... it grinds the housing at 15 vac EVERY time and it does slip/squeak when spooling every so often... what do you think i should do? i can buy a new turbo but i do need to save up alot.... with these hurricanes and no work its killing me with the money situation... should i go with another t25 for like 70 bucks from a junk yard? or should i go with a new turbo... T28 or 16g
basically i would go 16g but the whole hacking kit looks kinda confusing... any opinion would be appreciated. thanks!

I would say it depends on how much money you want to dish out. You could do a 14b but it would still require an install kit which would probably cost more than the turbo. A 14b would be a nice improvement over your T-too small

basically i want to run 17+ psi... 15 on my t25 is getting old... hehe a 14b wouldnt run too much.... but how hard is it to install?

just go w/ a T28 upgrade from either Forced or AGP. Direct bolt on!

T28 w/ the right supporting mods will stomp most LS1's out there and thats hella good enough for me

well how high can i boost on the t28?

btw check my mods in my profile and tell me what else you think i might need? only thing i can think of is fuel pump or a rewire

what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

a car w/ low boost with excellent supporting mods will always out preform a car w/ high boost and minimal supporting mods.

Yes, high boost is good but what is your ultimate goal.

You need to plan your trip before you reach your destination

get the BIGT28 like $150 more from fp. thats what im saving up for now

i completely understand about the work thing... i work at boomtown... in biloxi and i just blew my head gasket... but anyways if you want the best bang for the buck i would go to a junkyard and pull a 14b or try my hardest to find a 16g in the yard and pull it for like $25 and get the install kit... it'll still be alot cheaper than buying a t28 but i would rather have the fpbigt28 if ya wanna smoke a ls1
