Frank Or Mutt??

I have the ETE32 ported, and the Frank Level3 ported.
I have all the supporting mods, 550's, afc, FMIC. PLUS I drive an Automatic. Ive done the resewarch and they both see pretty comparable i guess? Now I just need some opinions.
Ive bad about the mutts.....good about the mutts, Bad about the Frank3 and good about the frank3.

I deleted your post (as well as another one that was against the rules).

He is asking which turbo he should use, and you are directing him to another website to buy another turbo? How does that have any relation to his question?

Not sure why you decided to say that. PM me if you would like to discuss it.

For the record, everyone should read the vendor rules if they haven't already. I deleted a few posts from this thread b/c they were against the rules. The person who made these posts understood so after I notified him of this. I also had to delete any posts that were made in reference to these posts that were against the rules, b/c it wouldn't make much sense if I left them.

no need to PM

Because I do not mind discussing in the open!

I am not allowed putting my website in my signature, I was told this two days ago, and I have not since. No problem.

However,

You have another moderator posting links to vendors in other threads. So, why can I not post it in my signature, but your moderator can hand out vendor names when someone ask about turbos? It does not seem quite fair??

Maybe you should set up rules for the moderators also?

Sorry, on the "other" site you can do that, and I'm used to going back and forth between forums. I'm just telling him to sell his two old tech turbos and buy one new tech one.

From the rules
- No ads, spam, or affiliate code in the content of posts or signatures. This includes for-sale and wanted ads, and the advertising of vendors and websites. Vendors and websites may be referenced when relevant to the content of the thread, not for the purpose of publicity.

- NO URLs or LINK are permitted in signatures, other than dsmabc.com. This includes businesses. You may state the legal name of your business in your sig (only if it is CAR related), but you may link to it only in your profile's www field. Again, NO URLs or LINKS in the sig.

- Vendors must not quote a price, or price range, of their products. Vendors must not state which products they sell unless it is specifically relevant to an existing thread. Vendors must refrain from direct or implied comparison with a competitor's product(s). Vendors may only discuss their own product(s).

The rule is, no links in signatures. This goes for everybody (even non-vendors). According to the rules, vendors/websites may be referenced when relevant to a thread (so what this specific moderator is doing is not against any type of rules, and it is not if anyone else does it either.) Also, a vendor may discuss a product that they sell when relevant to a thread.

I'm not really sure, but you might be possibly referring to my signature. You can put the name of your shop in your signature (just like I have), but you can't directly link it to your website.. It's all in the vendor rules. :)
As for posting links or names of vendors in threads, it must be done in a manner related to the topic of the thread and with clear intention to help someone participating in the same discussion and a vendor can't mention the name of his own company since that might be considered a self-promotion.
There are rules for moderators as well - and, to my knowledge, none of the moderators are breaking or bending them - unless you're able to present a specific thread or post.

LOL this is dsmtalk.com, rules only apply to who they say they do. Rule of thumb is forced performance and buschur can be discussed, as long as you are saying good things about them. everyone else gets the ax.

The vendor rules seem pretty clear to me... but if you'd like to just sit back and take cheapshots then be my guest. :rolleyes:

I am always willing to discuss the rules if you think that we aren't applying them consistently or have a legitimate complaint with one of the moderators or another member. What I usually see though is that perception is much more skewed than reality.

As mentioned above, if you want to discuss this, send me a PM or email anytime. But please, don't clog up the forums with it. Thanks. :)

Beef

I just simply had a beef which has been taken off line about a moderator posting links to vendors. It did happen, and is happening.

If I cannot put a link in my sig, why can you promote other vendors? Its just that simple.

I guess someone need to bring this back to topic.

I am not a fan of these two turbo although I did own a Mutt awhile ago. Anyway, what I suggest is go to times.dsm.org and see what others ran with the two turbo you have in mind and decide for yourself.

well last ive heard most street dsm's run on franks, dunno if their more reliable but my friends 11 sec talon had a frank 4 and that thing hauled ass like there was a moster behind it, wish we could of gotta a video of that Z06's face when we smoked him, heres his words ME/FRIEND="Sweet car man, bet it hauls, wanna run" Z06GUY="what do you have in that piece of shit, your not worth my time" ME/FRIEND="Oh ya, go on light" race is over we pull over and he says Z06GUY="Next time i see you im going the other direction, (friend pops the hood, z06 guy gives him a thumbs up and were on our way) it was sweet, we even beat this cocky 1.8t that was supposed to be a beast, not much of a beast to me, (blamed it on tranny, clutch, and wheel spin :rolleyes: )
