I don't run NO2 and I run only unleaded 105 on race day (@24 psi unleaded works fine on several of my friend's cars that are running 12s up here) so my plugs get me through one full season the I change them. I do pull them once a month for inspection and if they need to be changed sooner then I'll change them but not just for the sake of new ones.

Actually NGK is selling Iridium plugs now and they are not that expensive compared to the other makers. I think they are like $3 a plug.
Where? Because I have seen them on Ebay for buy it now of $38. That I thought was the cheapest in town.

Yeah no way i use them. And i change the plugs every month if i run it at the track. But only once a year if not. SO really i change them more then once a year because i race. Also i don't drive it all year only the summer and not that much. Yeah i ment tsi but they were for a car we sold, and he didn't want to spend more money on it.:D

Don't use Iridium plugs in your turbo cars, some people have had the electrode break off in the combustion chamber!

I think Platinums should be fine with our cars, since manufacturers of new Turbo cars are all supplying them with Platinum plugs now. Go copper if you like changing them often and want the best performance all the time. Go Platinum if your lazy and want long-term life out of them. Am I right?:p

It's been over a year now since I changed my NGK's and their acctually just starting to sputter on me now. You don't need to change them that often. And I heard bad things about Platinums on Turbo cars, plus I heard the tips on those breaking off in Cylinders. I'll stick to the $12 Canadian NGK's :D

Breaking off? I know that the Iridium plugs are VERY sensitive to gapping. You can not gap them with those cheap keychain round gappers. You have to use fealer gauge, and you have to be super careful. They are often cracked in the gapping process, which could lead to them breaking. Other than that Iridium has a higher tolerance to heat than most of the commonly used materials, like platinum (I read that somewhere). I run the Iridiums in a turbo Supra with no problems so far, yet it has only been a month or so, but the TSI always uses NGKs..?? I would run Iridium in that aswell if it would be worth it. Anyone have anything good to say about Iridium?
