Yeah, I really like to see someone do the b shafts removal and timing belt for $300. The b shaft is a PITA to get to without removing the block. Even the experienced ones said that, for $300, I will jump into that but make sure the car still runs afterwards.. LOL..
Hey Robert, you do it for $300?

Yeah I was thinking about doing that right after my hood and bumper which should be pretty soon still waiting on a group deal. Jdub andy said something about you needing your multimeter just give me a call its at my house so I can get it to you whenever.

i did mine i think 4 times now. one time i got my balance shaft 180* backwards. i got crazy vibrations at like 4k or so. next time my block is out i will surely remove that thing. Banshee make sure to get them to replace your tensioner and pullys. before i got the car the prievious owner just replaced the belt and tensioner. well like a month later he jumped the belt and bent a couple valves. It ended up that the pullys bearings were worn and had lots of play in them. the guy thought he blew the motor and that how i got the car for 1500 bucks in 95. -Robert

Dan did you get the timing belt and balance shafts removed yet? Does anyone know how good or bad inline racing is? It does seem like a good price but I want it to be done right also. Dan let me know a little more about it if you can. Thanks

LOL @ $300 to remove balance shafts w/ the block in the car... you might get the shafts out, but who knows if the tbelt job will be worth a damn. By the time the guy gets to start on your tbelt, he'll be about an hour into overtime, and nowhere near finishing the car. $5-600 is more like it.

Taking out the shafts is a lot more work on top of a timing belt job (have to remove front case and oil pan). To get the oil pan off you have to remove downpipe and crossmember from under the motor. And remove xfer case on AWDs. Consider that normal tbelt jobs go for $200-250 all the time, it makes $300 look like a freakin joke.

Robert - you still have balance shafts in that thing after 4 tbelt jobs?? "What are YOUUUUUUU doing????" Shafts suck! :D :D

Talking about your ECU, it suck big time. I broke 2 traces and is fixing that thing. Man, you guys better pay me good money to do that kind of shit. Have anyone tried putting a thread into a needle? Soldering small wires is something like that. So small even my shaky hands cant handle them. I took my 1 hour lunch working on that shit and I didnt get my lunch, now I am pissed and hungry!!! It's worst than removing b shafts.. LOL..

Im going to be getting a 02 elim or maybe just a dp. not sure yet. Can anyone get these for extremely cheap? lol

Jdub - didnt you mention something about it?
hehe, now I see you will be doing some modding after the leaks are fixed .
Well, I am still waiting for the O2 eliminator + DP. He sent it out almost two weeks ago but have not reached me yet. He gave me the USPS tracking number but that thing never seem to be updated :dunno:. It says received on 3rd from OHIO and then nothing afterwards. If they dont come this week, I will file complain on paypal and dispute my CC payment. No biggie.

So lets have a timing belt replacement and balance shaft removal party... That will take a little longer to be able to afford but its better than the possibility of a whole motor.

Slanted J-@^() Let me know when you know what your doing on the whole dp thing cuz I will prolly get that flex section from you so I can go ahead and drop my car off and have it by the weekend.:D

Hey thanks for the link that is the exact type of hood I wanted. I am talking to someone in town about one right now but if for some reason that doesnt work out there is another good option.

Rice??? Well probably so but it will save a good bit of weight and I need a new hood anyways so rice it is. I am ordering my underbody neons and aluminium spoiler this week also. After that I figured I would get a 8 inch tip and vinyl graphics for the side it shoudl look pretty good still run 15s but it will look good...
