I've tilted the steering wheel as high as it will go but it's still kinda low and close to my knees. Makes driving very uncomftorable sometimes. It's like this car was designed for short people yet there is so much head room. I don't get it. Anyway, has anyone done a mod so the steering wheel will tilt higher?
How to raise steering wheel on 2g?

If you read in the above post I am 6'+ and 225 lbs which means I am not a fat ass...HUSKY! It is better than being a little runt:slam:.
Lets not kid yourself on the turbo thing, your car will never be as good as a 4G63 turbo engine no matter what HRC tells you. You will be greatly reducing the life of your neon engine just to achieve stock 4G63 power levels.
All the people on club dsm can't be wrong with the fix that I answered to the above post. Maybe the wheel just needs to be a little closer but I really can't change that.

There is in fact plenty of room. If I sit comftorably there's like 6 inches over my head. The only problem is the steering wheel is too low. I've sat in the 3G and the steering wheel can be adjusted much higher, they obviously realized this problem and fixed it.lowridin2g said:I'm 5'6 and I have the seat up most of the way. LOL

as for the guy who posted this. look how small the car is, y would u buy something u are too big to fit into? one of the main reasons i wanted an eclipse is because its a small sports car for a small guy. not to mention how nasty they are. but damn what did u expect man? its no luxury car or suv. i mean stangs and camaros got a shitload more room than we do.

Now, not to start any wars, but this turbo vs. n/t or turboed GS bit is getting old. I have a non-turbo but i don't brag about it. It's slow as hell, albeit reliable, but i just can't figure out why these other people with the NT's have to pretend like their car is hot shit. The 4G63 is a better performance motor. NTs are all show no go. Then you turbo an NT and decrease reliability, which is the only thing the 420A has going for it. Yea so what i make BOV noises when im driving my car hard, its fun, but when someone tells me that i don't have a turbo, i just accept it (it does suck being reminded) and move on. Turbocharging is an amazing tool, but it shouldnt be applied to motors that werent designed for it. HRC may be a nice little power adder, but it still won't be a well tuned gsx, i dont care what stage you get. Enough is enough. And about the original thread, read the effin manual and experiment first, if the steering wheel is up all the way, the only way your going to be able to get it higher is to start breaking things. and at 6 ft, it is cramped, but its a small price to pay. Also, i heel toe all the time with stock pedals, just turn your foot sideways, it takes practice.

The reason this whole thread started was about the steering wheels being lower than they should be. If you like the way you fit your car, good for you(your car does look good!)!!!! and this thread does not apply to you!

Maybe you are not a newbie because I read the boards longer than a year or so before I got my first dsm in early 2000.
