I recently installed an auto meter boost gauge....I believe I installed everything correctly and it reads up to 16psi.....I have no mods except for a bov. I don't think my car is running 16 psi so what do you think could be the problem??

I think you need a boost controller. ;) Now check where you post things like this.. :)

16 psi is acceptable for a stock T-25 turbo. Anything higher than that means your just blowing hot air, anyway.

General DSM Tech?

To install a bov you should have needed a UICP to for mounting.

My car runs close to 15 psi from just a bov and a couple things.

Does the gauge sit a zero and what vacuum does the car pull if the gauge also has that.

If you upgraded the BOV, that would explain why you're seeing 16 psi. But to upgade the BOV you would have needed to upgrade the UICP first. Either way, 16 psi will not get you into any trouble with a T-25. Rewire the fuel pump just to be safe...

Moved to General Tech...

He could have just gotten a mounting kit, they do make 'em so he could keep his stock UICP.

Thats why I said should...

Where did you tap in at, before the ic could be that high?

Well I didn’t upgrade the UICP yet....and I tapped the line that runs from the intake manifold to the soleniod that controls the FPR. So.....without the UICP makes the gauge read 16psi?? I’m thinking its probably what that dude said about the boost spikes...

rewire!!

fuel pump rewire accross the board, regardless of make or model is generally a good idea when hoping up a car. it helped aleviate fuel cut on my buddy's hatch civic...haha prelude motor + stock DX pump = problems.

great activity for a rainy day, well atleast for us GS-T folks...stupid AWDers out there can go play in the wet wonderland :(
