y aknow what... I dont think I am gonna make people wait till I am completely finished. I will just post some pics as soon as I get my computer back. (my comp is in the shop getting fixed so I dont have my photo stuff)

about blackouts......... maybe if you
1.) cut a hole in the front signal
2.) paint turn signal housing
3.) inserted some sort of clear plastic bubble/cover thingy that would let the turn signal light shine through the hole without letting water get in

it might look better. just an idea and kinda hard to explain but o well.

u can always use that spray smoke tint stuff, works real good and doesnt get too dark, depends on who does ur inspections tho i guess too.

why

Why hasn't somebody thought about this headlight conversion earlier? Before I bought my 92, I thought about having a 90-91 and fabricating a plexiglass housing for some conversion. I was in love with 300ZX, so I figured it would look similar. Anyways, keep up the good work! I may have to purchase a second DSM soon...

that is definitely one of the things i considered, but i didn't think it would look that good on my gf's white 90 awd.

yea i've seen it before.

i guess i'll wait til i see these on a few cars and see what they do about it, or how it looks left alone.

if i get these, i'll just use formex (this vinyl sticker like thingy) that looks like the same color as the body, and put it over everything in the front, and maybe use the old school "hand signal" i can chance not having blinkers...maybe

no blinkers, i highly doubt ull pass inspection, hand signals u can get away with on a motorcycle sometimes but even here in ny u need them now.

Where can you get that stuff? I was wanting to get some and just cut circles for the tail/brake/turn signal lights. I did the Night Shades stuff for now, but got inpatient and did it at night. Needless to say I have a couple runs. Either want to go with this formex idea, or wetsand and redo the Night Shades.

blinkers? who cares... we drive race cars! pay the ticket IF you ever in your life get one... i havent yet.. and i have no front blinkers.. hahaha... keep up the good work...

formex doesn't take more than about ten minutes to put on and less then a minute to take off, it's eight dollars for a roll here, and a roll will cover about 3 sets of headlights, sorry that was just my thought, i didn't say id' run out and do it to everyone else's car too

you gotta remember i'm in indiana where sometimes you end up being late to work because a tractor (john deere style) is runnin down the road taking up your lane and half the other. we have no emissions, no inspections, and noone around here uses blinkers even if they do work.

project update

alot of sanding, bondo, resin, and fiberglass work right now. needs some fine tuning thats all. I still havent gotten my computer back from the shop yet so i cant post any pics untill I get it back. they said it will be done in 1-3 weeks!! by the way.. I am workign on the drivers side light. teh passengers light will go along SOOOOO much quicker because I will be familiar with the whole process.

but anyhoo back to the hadlight conversion. the main problem is time and my parents nagging me about homework so its hard to get much done. but I have all the details planned out. (i think....) grrr screw it all.... I am just gonna go work on the headlights RIGHT NOW!!!!

peace

would it be possible to rewire your driving lights and add new bulbs (the ones outside the headlight)?:)
