Ok there is a HORRIBLE screeching bearing noise coming from the front case side of the engine... it has 6k miles on it because it has just been rebuilt.

Symptoms:
- Doesn't squeel at ideal
- Builds and maintains boost as well as it ever did
- Squeels over about 2k rpm whether in nuetral or on the move
- Has oil pressure
- Dosent overheat

What I have replaced:
- All timing pulleys/idlers
- Checked intake side of turbo, no shaft play!

What am I thinking?
- Spun bearing inside block (balanche shaft bearing??)
- Will it do this if the timing belt is too tight?? (even though I measured it and its within deflection specs)
- NO FREAKENT CLUE WHAT ELSE COULD BE WRONG!!

Please help me out guys I need my car for the snow!!!

Ok I thought about it alil more and also finally found a post that is similiar to my problem, they described the noise as a "Growling" sound and I definately agree with that. I think it was SilverTsi who said his sounded like this...

When I did my engine, I think I forgot to get a new oil pump because it was in check, DAMNIT!!!

It must be the oil pump or balance shaft/balance shaft bearing...

I havent checked it, but it isnt leaking and has 7k miles on it....

You think I should take it off to check the fins inside or just spin the outer shaft that the pulley bolts to??
