if your not ready to deal with the joys of turbo's then sell your turbo and stick with your NA one.

Don't sit there spinning your wheels looking for the problem until you get the proper tools to diagnose the problem (if there is even one). Get a guage or stop bugging people.
Come on.. This is Newbies forum ;) . He does have the proper tools (pressure tester and hand-held vacuum/boost gauge) to diagnose the problem. There's no need for a permanently mounted aftermarket boost gauge if one doesn't run a MBC but wants to stick with the factory boost level. :)

I suppose, sorry for being harsh earlier. No hard feelings. I guess I'm still a bit pissed about a plow truck backing into my GS-T on Saturday and doing this:

oh good god

time for the city to buy u some new stuff =)

not city, apartment complex. A dodge ram with a snow plow. The complication is that the guy won't admit to it and there don't seem to be any witnesses. I found some evidence (tail light pieces) around the truck and some other coincidences like the height of the bumper compared to the hit zone. If no one admits to it I could end up screwed though (having to go through my insurance and getting stuck paying the $500 deductible).

And it wasn't parked on the street, it was parked in a very legal parking spot in my complex.

Holy shit! That would definitely piss me off too... Did you call cops and collect all the evidence (remains of the tail lights of the truck, pictures of the tracks around the car, pictures of the truck, etc.)?

yeah, i took lots of pictures. Even had the sheriff come out a second time to view some potential evidence on the plow truck. Unfortunatly, no one has admitted to it yet and he doesn't see anything happening without either someone admitting guilt or a witness coming forward.:(

Factory boost gauge!

Is the factory boost gauge really that bad. I test drove a 92 Talon Turbo and it had an aftermarket gauge reading 12lbs of boost at WOT and guess what; the factory gauge was right on? So do you guys mean that if you want to increase boost levels beyond 14 the factory gauge doesn't work(becuase thats as high as it goes)? I mean if it doesn't read actual boost levels, then how was it accurate on that car? Just curious BTW, I have no problem with getting an aftermarket boost gauge either.

Well lets put it this way - I had an intercooler pipe blow off on me when I still had my stock gauge, my car bucked, smoked like a chimney but guess what, the boost gauge read full boost.

Another senario - 3/4 throttle at say 5000 rpm in 2nd gear, stock gauge reads full boost, aftermarket gauge reads about 2" Hg.

So no, unfortunately it's not accurate.
