Come on.. This is Newbies forumautoxr37 said:if your not ready to deal with the joys of turbo's then sell your turbo and stick with your NA one.
Don't sit there spinning your wheels looking for the problem until you get the proper tools to diagnose the problem (if there is even one). Get a guage or stop bugging people.
I suppose, sorry for being harsh earlier. No hard feelings. I guess I'm still a bit pissed about a plow truck backing into my GS-T on Saturday and doing this:Taboo said:
Come on.. This is Newbies forum. He does have the proper tools (pressure tester and hand-held vacuum/boost gauge) to diagnose the problem. There's no need for a permanently mounted aftermarket boost gauge if one doesn't run a MBC but wants to stick with the factory boost level.

Well lets put it this way - I had an intercooler pipe blow off on me when I still had my stock gauge, my car bucked, smoked like a chimney but guess what, the boost gauge read full boost.nathanstl said:Is the factory boost gauge really that bad. I test drove a 92 Talon Turbo and it had an aftermarket gauge reading 12lbs of boost at WOT and guess what; the factory gauge was right on? So do you guys mean that if you want to increase boost levels beyond 14 the factory gauge doesn't work(becuase thats as high as it goes)? I mean if it doesn't read actual boost levels, then how was it accurate on that car? Just curious BTW, I have no problem with getting an aftermarket boost gauge either.
