Bump!! no one?

If you don't know much about rebuilding an engine, it's probably a good idea to have a pro do it. I'm not trying to sound like an ass. It's just not something you want to do on a whim with little experience.
What I'd suggest, is buying all the parts yourself, and having a reputable machine shop do the assembly, and balancing.

yea there is alot of stuff that can go wrong. I have my friend and his dad helping and theres an engine shop down the road. If you know someone to help go for it

thats what I want to do I want to buy the parts and have them put it all togeather I am just not sure what to buy that is a good combo...

first off if you never want to touch it again make sure you get forged everything. Crank, Pistons, Rods

But thats about the extent to what i know in the bottom end of the motor!

what about bearings? anyother little things? I was thinking je pistons 20 over 9-1 compression with eagle rods...

ive heard je pistons expand to much and cause piston slap when cold.... Someone correct me if im wrong. Im personanlly going with wiesco or ross.

weisco/eagle, theres a thread somewhere i saw not too long ago, with a list of ur better choices. id def use the weisco/eagle combo myself.

20 over oh my thats large, i was thinkin more .020 over =p
