SCC just did a swap into a Civic hatch and on street tires it ran 14.6s plus you are a bit off in the weight .
The swap done in SCC was an 02 Si with a K20 engine. This is alot different than an EK with a B18C5 engine. I know for a fact that the 02 Si, even being a hatch, weighs more than my ITR, stock for stock. Also, SCC ran the tests in over 100 degree weather. They stated to keep that in mind while reading the posted times. They decided to post the times so that they could be compared against the stock Si and stock RSX times that were run on the same day, in the same heat.

I know about that one but the one I was talking about was their budget early '90s blue hatch with the B16 swap, brakes, etc.

That's the one that run a 14.8 with just the engine swap, header and exhaust. They've been doing this car for the last year or so.

I stand corrected, sorry! What issue was this in? I'm at work right now, but when I get home, I can reread it.

BTW - you do know there's a 35chp difference between a B16 and B18C5 right?

because first of all the b16 is a 1.6 & the b18c5 is a Tuned 1.8, however do not get it mixed up with the b18c1 (GSR) for the b18c5 (Type R) bests it in every way shape and form, better cam header, valvetrain, gearing..... i could go on forever :)... and, in good weather stock Type R's have been known to run a mid 14 now how you get that a type r hatchback is running these times... i dont know... a GSR hatchback (b18c1) thats more likely... Im sorry for going off topic, i cant figure out why he would pull even with the hatch either.... must be a fluke! :D
