Alright, so this happened the other night on my way back from seeing The Lord of the Rings: the two towers...My brother and I were leaving the movie theater in his girlfriend's 99 Grand Am GT 4-door, and we were cruising up on a white 95 TSi. My brother's always loved to race, and me being a DSM owner, wanted to see just how fast a TSi was up against a GM. We got to a redlight just before the highway, and I told him to race it. Cruising along, completely bald tires and all, we passed him at about 80, and then continued to accelerate to about 95 before he started to make his run to pass us on the right. We got up to about 115, and he was just barely keeping up, still behind by about half a car length...As soon as we hit 120, still ahead and he was falling behind, we had to slow down to switch lanes and get on an exit. It was pretty cool, and I was shocked to see how slow the TSi was. If your turbo DSM is slower than a 4 door Grand Am, you have problems...
