1. It`s my daily driven car
2. I use it for street-racing
3. I use it for learning more about cars... it`s very cool to learn something about a high-tech-car with a whole computer in it .. and u can see whats every sensor is doing and so on... thats cool..

I like to drive a DSM everyday and race one. I found the best medium is to have 2, one to drive to work and one for racing and occasional cruising. I also believe it is a sin to have a DSM and leave it stock, you atleast need a fuel pump, boost gauge and MBC... Do something..... I hate seeing people rasing hoods on GSX's, TSi's and GSt's not even to see a hacked aircan....sickening. :puke:

I'm in the exact same situation = P awsome stuff these DSMs are. I love dsmtalk and all the information it provides to help me fix and upgrade my talon!

To get pussy. (j/k - I am married)

In all respect, its something to do. I love to wrench, clutches, turbos, suspension, gauges, wiring electronics, stereo equipment, and anything that occupies me for a few hours every now and then. I have become quite a good mechanic because of this car. Doing a 'header' on a honduh is a sleepy walk in the park. Cams, no prob. Pull the engine?? - its gonna cost you less for me to do it than ANY shop, and you get to learn. Want to learn how to do something, I will teach you. Great reason to get with the guys and bullshit. Gotta love being a grease monkey.

I am not too much of a mechanic. My #1 reason would be learning mechanics. I promised myself when I bought my DSM, that everything on it will be done by me. So far, I'm keeping my promise ;). Then, the obvius stuff, daily driver, drag racing and weekend panty hacker.

I think everyone should choose 'learning mechanics' cause it's hard not to when you own a dsm. Just look at all the great info that is avalible to use. Well ok, maybe if you don't drive your car hard then stuff won't break but whats the fun in that. :D

This poll needs some tweeking. Its adding up all of the categories, then averaging the individuals from that.

ex: (from current numbers when I viewed it)
Total Votes (as displayed on bottom scree) is 394

Total of all vote submissions (sum of all categories) is 1082

So for comparison

301 of 394 voters is daily, which equates to 76%

but the poll equates 301 of 1082 voters which equates to the shown 28%

The poll still shows majority of votes though, so everybody should still be able to see the primary votes,...:)

Beater

Unfortunately, I use mine as a beater. I have the SOHC 1.8 liter, and there are only a few available mods, and to give it 150 hp with 2,000$ is just plain nuts. After I graduate college, I plan on taking a dead TSi and rebuilding the entire engine, along with a few other project cars.

Sounds like what I did = P Have fun!

I learned alot from my car, but now it's a driveway ornament
That should have been an option, driveway ornament. I've owned my Talon for about 2yrs and only driven it for about 1yr.:(

Also, being able to break an axle is cool to tell everyone but it sucks having to replace them. My drivers rear axle broke inside the rear diff. That was hard to get out.

We've never tried the "multiple choice" type of poll before so I thought I'd give it a shot... it's possible the code is a little weird? :dunno:

I think thats what it is. I like the ability to have multiple votes though. Its summing up all of the votes instead of using the Total (thats displayed in the border), for dividing.

I'd offer to fix the code for you but my hourly rate is $85 and I don't have the time to offer any help:D, sorry I couldn't resist:D
