I talked to road race about that stuff and they said it was too light for our trannys. They recomemded Redline MTX. Thats what is going in mine here in about a week.

Strange they recommend it on their site, they don't recommend it for the transfer case

No, they advertise the BG I not the II. I dont have the experience with both to say either way, this is just what they told me. Also the II costs about 2 times as much as the I.

If the II is thicker then I would go with that. Right now im running some Mobile 85w140 in the tranny for that extremely heavy weight. It shifts awsome when its warmed up..But when its cold its a total bitch! Im gonna swith to BG Sycroshift here soon, probably before the winter starts.

I have tried both BGII and Redline MT90/MTL mix, and the Redline is by are the better of the two. I started using the Redline per Archer Racing's recomendation and I am very glad that I did.

Well I just ordered some syncroshift 2 today, and I'll have that in later this week. It seems its all you 1g guys posting about this shit, and honestly I dont ever see any 2g guys ever posting. I'm now at 73k miles, and the fluid was to be changed at 60k according to manufacturers recommendations. Honestly I keep up on my car so well, and this just shames me to say I've never done it (I got my car with 57k miles about 2.25 years ago) and just havent done it. I have some slight harshness trying to get into 3rd gear especially, but nothing HUGE, just I'm a fanatic. I wasnt sure if it was the symborski bushings or just the tranny itself, but maybe we'll see if this isnt the reason.

How would you guys recommend me going about changing the fluid since I dont have a hydraulic lift? I have a man jack, and a little jack slightly bigger than the stocker, but arent I supposed to have it on a nice level surface? Could I do this without even jacking the car up?

I'm going to order some fluid for the rear diff and Xfer case as well, what do you guys recommend? RRE says to use the Heavy weight shockproof gear lube from redline, and theres a redline carrier about 10 minutes away, so I may see if I can get some from him, but I figured I'd see what you advise first.

Ok, well I have the BG Syncroshift II in now. When I drained my old fluid it was absolutely horrible looking. Man it was bad. Anyway. With the new fluid in I think I notice a difference, but I dont know if it is just because I'm not on a 13k mile overdue fluid, or if its even all in my head, but it did feel slightly smoother, but sometimes the smoothness used to come and go anyway, so I'll give it some time maybe to see how well it holds up.
