evo 8 fmic on 2g

i've noticed that the new evo8 uses a 4g63 and also has a fmic, does anyone know if this fmic would be able to be used in a set up for a 2g to replace the stock smic?

Yes it does, there was somewhat of a thread refering to parts that would work on a dsm from the EVO 8, but as with any part off of another car, it would require some custom piping and such, one of my friends just put it on his 2g GS-T and there is another guy in our club that put one on his 1g.

the guy with the 1st gen, his father owns a junkyard near St. Louis, and they had a totaled evo come in and he just went a ripped it off, along with a few other parts.

The guy with a 2g has a neighbor on base(fort leonard wood) that owns a EVO 8 and hit a deer, not to much damage to the passenger side fender and passenger side of the bumper, and insurance covered it, but he kept the FMIC and a few other things, which had a few bent fins and the like and sold it to him for $175. And I also bought the shiny front emblem off of him.

Yes I am in GWDSM, the guy in with the 2g was going to come up with me to the meet last Sunday, but he was on call and couldn't go(He is an MP). I own a Maroon 2g, i was at the meet. I'm currently trying to get the guy with the EVO 8 to go to the next meet, but he is a JAG officer and his schedual right now is somewhat screwed. I don't really talk to the guy with the 1g, I do every once in a while, but that is about it.

Yea i would really be interested in that intercooler for the 100plus bucks. And i own the black tsi awd with the 16g that was there. I remember you just making sure it was you.

Yeah, did you fix that rattle? Yeah, I'm the diamond on FMIC guy. I would say fyre if you were from Mo/Ill go to speed designs, or find a shop that mandrel bends, or order bends and have someone weld the stuff together.

Yes i fixed the rattle. One of the bolts on my downpipe was coming loose alowing the dowpipe to smack against the trasfer case between 2k and 2.5k All good now.
