Yeah, that's definately opinion, because I think the Talon rear and lights look way better. :D
Besides, everyone and their mother has an Eclipse.

I think this is the best way to change up the back of a Talon.
I wanted black but the body guy did it in green, oh well.
BTW, I used nightshade paint on the reverse lights.

What are you talking about?
If you're asking where to get the TALON letters off of the center taillight piece from a 2G, then read the whole thread.

If you mean something else, clarify please.

Here's a picture, albeit blurry, of my red painted tail lights. I think all red is the best "mod" you can do to the Talon lights. A friend of mine has an identical 97 Talon and he has the lights tinted and he prefers red to his.

I used Tesors Translucent Candy Apple Red paint @ ~$4/can.

 That looks pretty good!
Does it match up with the other red exactly? I can't tell from that pic. Also, what do the turn signals look like while blinking? I think orange+red would make a less appealing color at night, especially when it's right next to the red taillights.
Just curious, as i'm considering doing this. (It's more legal than tinted taillights).

Well to match up the color, I masked off all the plastic and then all the red as precisely as I could. I took a long time making sure the masking was perfect, I spent about 30-45 min/light. Then I light sprayed a coat of the red on and let it dry, then again and dry, and so on until the reds matched. Then once it was all dry, I sprayed the whole lense (the stock red plus the new red) with a clearcoat in order to get the textures to match.

Under bright light at an angle, the lights look slightly different, ie. it looks slightly red-orange. But I have been asked by several different people if I had some sort of special edition talon because the color matched so perfectly.

At night I can't tell at all that they aren't supposed to be that way.

Just paint the orange and the red at the same time. Mask the licensce plate area, the plastic casing and the reverse lights and your set. I did three coats red and three coats clear. the orange doesn't show through at all. I think it would be cool the paint the black plastic where the license plate is body color also but i havn't bothered to try it because my car is black to begin with.
