3 cyl, DSM

All right how about this, ive been working on my 91 gsx for over a year rebuilding the tranny and engin and every thing else on the dame thing. Well i was test driving it trying to get it to run right (ive been trying to get it to run right for ever, it keeps dieing and it has no power) and the car puts a rod and most of the pistion through the side of the block, and it is still runing. I could go start it back up but it has know oil.

Have you guys ever heard of that, i have never heard of it.
Any comits or answers?

Yeah, I have a comment. Bring the thing to a real mechanic and dont ever plan on winning a spelling bee.

Did it start to loose power before or after the hole got punched through the side of the block?

Sorry dude, it just seems like you've got alot of work to do. And yes, I have seen these things happen before.

Sounds like rod bolt problems. Bad bolts or improper tightening. It could have been bad lubrication and a bearing spun too.

You missed something in the rebuild if a 1g rod launched it'self and you werent making over 400 hp when you did it.

OKAY

Okay first off, I've been rebuilding cars all my life, i can't even count all of the motors that i have rebuilt, and none of them have turned out like this befor,(i have done one just like this one befor and i still drive it every day with 60000 miles on the my new motor.
(K- with that out of the way)Thats the thing is that when it through the rod it ran jest about the same shityness, it did'nt shake more or anything(jest had some bad metal noise then oil and parts came out the bottom of the car. It knocked for a little bit but i got the car with the muff off and you cant here much.

Dame, Anyone want to buy a car?
Its got new every thing, Walbro fuel pump too...

I guess we're supposed to be amazed that the motor still "ran" with speed holes in the side of the block.

So that's one less 6-bolt block that will be available to the people who know what they're doing.

and lol at saying the car has a Walbro fuel pump... that's like in the Jackass movie when Knoxville beat the hell out of that rent-a-car, but "I returned it with a full tank of gas!" Talk about trivial info...

Easy killer. We know you've had bad luck, we've all had our share. We also have almost all got a high school diploma, therefore we are shocked when someone can't spell a simple four letter curse word like damn (dame). My best advise to you is proof read your post and then maybe this wont happen again. Besides, what are we suposed to say to a question like yours? "Oh, dont worry about it" or "I know! when you were assembling the low-end you stripped out the front bolt on the #3 rod." Come on man.

I just read a post that showed a green smile-ly shooting antoher I absolutly loved it. so here. Lose the attitude, and everbody else do'nt be too harsh. We all share DSM's as a common thread. We all just do'nt struggle with spelling it. DS? DSW? ah. DSM. yea, thats it.

Yea everyone gets alittle carried away sometimes while posting, its just knowing when to stop that's important. But back to the original topic, it sucks when something like this happens and just be glad you have something else to drive while it is down.

Sorry i just thought that it was interesting what had happened to my car, (just that i still ran fine after the rod went out the side of the block)and all i wanted to do is to jest share it with other people who is smart about our DSM cars and could appreciate the significance of what happen.
Its not my fault that i came from a small shity school, with only 20 people in my 12 grade class and the class befor that only had 3 people, ya, poor school with bad teachers=ME.+ i was in a hurry, did'nt proof read either(sorry my school did not teach me to spell curse words).
I told my friends and famly and they dont know cars so they don't care, so thats why i came on here.

I've posted quite a bit on here and never befor ran in to any of this kind of hospitality, i've talked to some real nice people on here, i will try not to let this encounter ruin DSMTALK for me ive always loved this site.

The only reason why I posted again was because you told me to fuck off. I dont know about you but I get kind of pissed when people say that to me and if you think you've been flamed worse than anyone else on here then you've got another thing coming.

Look, its not fair that people just make assumptions about others based on a a few sentences that they read but it it happens and always will. You said it yourself, you were in a hurry.
