I have a 97 TSI AWD. My question is that my car doesn't have all the badging on it . All I have is the Eagle on the front bumper and Talon on the center tail lights. No where on my car does it say Turbo,AWD,or TSI.Everything on my cars body is stock.Is this normal or an option for the 97 models. THANKS

My guess would be that the previous owner got into an accident with it and the rear bumper got replaced. As far as I'm concerned, it should say it on the door caps and on the rear bumper. Either that or the previous owner had the emblems shaved off...

This is probably true about having them removed,but don't you think it's stupid to go through that much work and not remove that wonderful orange reflector with talon on it.

Agreed, much better than the big RED reflector, besides I'm proud to own a Talon, much less common to see TALON there versus ECLIPSEDefiant said:

from what I can tell the bumper cover is embossed.... not a stuck on emblem, otherwise they did a *damn* good job transitioning that sticker down onto the bumper cover...

I think it is a sticker because KilurV8 debaged his entire car. I did this on a different car and all I did was use a blow dryer to heat up the glue and pull it off. But I know you can take the decals of the 97-98 bumper.

I'm going to have to agree with tekky_98_TSI. But what the hell do I know mine are gone. AS far as any others I have seen they look like they are molded into the bumper.tekky_98_TSi said:

IMO, I think that it would look pretty nice if you took out your taillights and used red lens paint and sprayed the orange to be all red. I saw some 1G's doing it on their talons, I lost where the post was, but it looked really nice. If I knew about this when I had my '93 Talon, I would've done it. Looks really clean, I'm not sure how it'd look on a 2G, but just thought that I'd bring it up.

They are definately just stickers. My 97 had the ghey neon green lettering, and I took them off. Nice hot day in June and about 30 minutes later... no more stickers. Im also on the side that the Talon tails are much better looking that the Eclipse. JMO.

Well, whatever they were on, only lasted about 1 year... In 98 they changed back to clear or all grey(I forget)luv4turbos said:
