I was really suprised the first time I chirped 2nd gear in my stock 2g auto tranny. Its FWD of course. I've done it several times. I was just wondering if anyone else can do this? I'm running 32 psi in my front tires and my tires have about 80% tred left on them. I think this shows how strong the DSM A/T really is. Not many people can say they chirp 2nd in an auto. lol

I can't imagine how it will shift with a Shift kit.

yeah, I can do it at will. It doesnt take much effort anymore to chirp the tires on the shift. Even when I was stock I could do it every once in a while. But yeah its pretty cool, people always have a puzzled look on their face when I do it in my auto.

i can do it if im turning alittle and 1/3 throttle. its awesome, well my tread aint that great either, oh well.

when i was reading your post and you said "i am running 32 psi..." i was like  NO FREAKIN WONDER!!! then you referred to the psi on your tires, i was like shew. ok, he's not a freakin jackass. :)

Haha. I wish I could boost 32 psi. Then I could chirp 4th.:D

hmm, my bro's 91 stock prelude si auto chirps 2nd :D

some of those old cars shift hard as shit, my friends 92 accord nearly breaks your back when it shifts

I wouldnt get all too excited guys who post about chirping in 2nd

One one side it may state that you have enough HP to make this happen, which it sounds like the boat you are all on.

But on the other side, it can simply mean you have cheap ass tires.

When I had my AWD talon, it would launch at 5500 rpms like a rocket. I then got pritty broke and had to purchase cheaper tires. When I would launch with the cheap tires, I would also chirp. Sure doesnt mean I have more power LOL

Sorry to inform you, that Im not bragging about spinning tire in fact I hate the fact that I spin so much, and Im running on Kumho Ecsta 712's and they def. arent cheap ass tires. I doubt your AWD can chirp second, unless your running on donuts, LOL

its possible to spin 2nd on some BALD ass tires with plenty of power, what kinda mods u have to grab 2nd?

I can spin into second gear not just chirp with my all wheel drive, I have a small 16g and it spools so fast I can spin into second and chirp third of course I have also broke 2 rear ends and just recently destroyed a tranny and my spool doesnt help either. And I am not running shitty as all season tires I am running dunlop w-10's which arent even mud & snow rated.

i never spin, i dont drop the clutch tho because id spin through first like theres no tommorrow, 2nd once in a while ill spin not usually, ive got decent tires tho.

I didnt say they were expensive, I just said they are good tires, and Kumhos are like the best tire for the $$ you can get, for performance, and they arent snow or mud rated either, LOL. Sure your tires are spinning, and its not just your clutch slipping :)
