I'm just trying to get some veiws on nitrous. I don't have any idea what is good or what works the best. I'm thinking about a dual stage. That is about all I know. I'm stupid when it comes to the silly juice/laughing gas

The May issue of SCC had a nice artile on Nitrous lots of info.

If I were going to get a kit (i might someday), it would be NOS' NOSzle kit. It is a direct port injection fogging system is very easy to install. Do a search (on the internet) on it, its pretty cool.

They're tight, but rather expensive

With a dry kit your counting on your inj. to add a bunch of fuel. Far to easy to run out of headroom or end up with an inj. bigger than you need and hard to make idle right.

Your also counting on the fact the the N20 injected into the intake will flow the same amount into each cylinder, meet with the extra fuel there and be burned off.

With a wet kit if more ends up in one cylinder than another at least the air / fuel mixture is still right.

I'f you do a pull with your dry kit and than read your plugs right after I'd bet your leaner in some cylinders than others.

As the shot size increases this becomes more and more of an issue.

I agree with chmdrm, Wet system is better for more than one reason. Dry is much more dangous to run because of the fact is you don't always get the right fuel mixure for the NOS and when that happen you get NO2 start to eat away at the metal in your engine. Also you can run too lean as well. Dry NO2 works but it's just not as safe and I would never use it.

i think there are some key points being left out in this discussion. dry kits are good things because of the ease of installation. its all about what youre setup is and when you plan to use it. look at DSMMANs profile. hes using 720cc's, using a VPC, and is only hit a 55 hp shot. correct me if im wrong dsmman, but I imagine the shot is more for spool-up than for WOT at redline. Also, he has the full capability to run the system fat enough when he hits the nitrous that its ok. Dry systems are dangerous when you are not setup properly to install them. if youre running factory injectors and 17lbs of boost and hit a 55 shot at 6000, thats when things get destroyed. thats where wet systems help so much. they add their own source of fuel.
Either way you go, its all about knowing exactly when you want to use it, tuning the car properly, and controling your urges and using it properly.

i get a pretty good "buzz" off the one my dentist has in his office.
If you can get a hook up that stuff is undetectable. People will never know your spraying too. There is no sulfer smell in your oil and in you exhaust.

Jazzie604, Good point. Not eveyone is as knowlageable as you are Dsmman. That why I would recommend a wetshot. That way there is less chance of running into problems.
