Green, what are your mods? What boost are you running? Do you have any weight reductions? I just got back from Milan with a personal best of 12.5@109. It wasnt as fun as the last import events at Milan because they had the Jr. dragsters, muscle cars, bikes and imports all running one after another. Over the 6 hours I was there I got in 5 runs. It got to the point where your coolant dropped below 100 degrees between runs. Im going to be heading up to martin this friday to finish off my race gas. I have a Red 92 with limo tint.

EcstasyTSi,

My mods are in my profile.I ran 19psi but it falls rapidly to 15psi at about 5000 rpm.Yes my 14b is dying.I took out the passenger and back seats. My car is also minus my a/c + condensor, most of the sound deading removed, and the abs.The car should be fairly light,I haven't put it on the scale yet.I getting a big16g anyday now.I'll be shooting for some 11's.I'll be running the weekend after next at martin.Hope to see ya there...

I like cheese...

On a side note what all did you guys do to that turbo?

I ran down to TRE and picked up a 34mm WG flapper and I was going to port the piss out of of this extra 14B I have then put in a Gen2 o2 housing and Gen 2 Manifold.

Just waiting for my friend to have time to help me out. Sorta stuck right now cuz we need to locate a good powerful 1/2 drill to use to port the thing. Would mostlikely be done if was had one.

Is your 7cm housing ported? What are your 60' times, trap speeds? Are you running race gas?

The best way to port a turbo is to use a air die grinder and a carbide porting bit. I have the 34mm installed which eliminated my boost creep. When you port the manifold, be careful if you port the manifold runners. You can loose performance when porting the exhaust manifold runners without taking the correct dimensions.

Ya thats how my friend did his but right now none of us have access to a die grinder or compressor. Atleast not one big enough to port with. My friend did his at his old work before he quit.

Any of you guys have one? I'll pay one of you to port the housing and area for the waste gate for me. Prolly the only way its going to get done. Its been sitting for weeks.

My brother is out of town so i'll answer your questions for him. Yes the 7cm is ported w/ a 34mm flapper...he did the work himself. He cut an amazing 1.61 60ftr on the 12.44@110 run....the 1/8th mile was done at 7.93@87.89. He was having trouble getting traction most of the night....and ran a bunch of 12.7's@109-110 spinning the tires through 1.8 60ftrs...then all the sudden the car just hooked up and he cut the 1.6 60ftr. He ran 112 torco racegas.

Get there around 5:30-6:00ish.The best thing to do is go straight to tech,it's way in the back near the time booth. You can get like 4 runs in a row if you tech early enough.Test and tune is all night Fri. Thats when you can get the most runs. It's like $18 to run.

Yes I did. My fastest pass of the night was a 12.35. It started to get very cold at the end of the night and traction became an issue. Martin is a very nice track. The only thing that I dont like about it is the fact that you cant dodge the water box. I ran my best times early in the night before the water box grew so wide to where you couldnt get around it.

Sweet, you can dodge the waterbox if you run on the right lane and cut around near the center, just missing the hose and stand.Yeah by the end of the night it's pretty soaked from side to side.I think thats way I spin so much, rolling through water before I launch. .Next weekend I'm going to try having someone push the water off with 30"in squeege, that would help us alot.

I was running 20lbs. of boost with a spike to 22psi. My 60' time was 1.738 with a 110mph trap speed. This was on 110 leaded and my winter tires. I have a new set of Falken Azenis in my garage that are waiting to be mounted. The next time I go I want to run a little more boost and see if I can up my trap speeds. Thats if I can get a datalogger on it so I can tell when I'm seeing knock.

You're running a front mount right? What are the dimensions on that? How many tenths did you gain from installing it? I think that's my biggest bottleneck right now. I've been looking into some of those co2 sprayers they make for front and sidemount intercoolers. It looks like they could be very beneficial for a side mount intercooler that gets heat soaked pretty easily. This guy is selling them off ebay for 80 bucks a piece. That seems to be a reasonable price for the potential that it has. http://www.intercoolertechniques.com/ has them but they seem to be more expensive.

I run a starion fmic w/ a 2 1/2 outlet. When I upgraded the piping and intercooler I noticed faster spool and better throttle response.I've been looking at those intercooler spayers and it would be easy to build but you would have to spray manually.I like the new advanced kit they offer. With a push button you could freeze it on the line and at the top of 4th gear(when you have a free hand).I think it be a good way to improve top end mph.I've been flamed by certain people about using a starion for a intercooler. They say this and that but I do good with it so far:p What do you use for tuning if you have no logger..egt?Have you logged the new motor since you broke it in?I had a hard time with knock and pump gas, with higher compression the window of tuneablity is narrow. But god it loves race gas. Also I run 112 leaded from the getto gas station in Galesburg. They let you pump it right in!!

I tune with EGT and the blue wire mod on my S-AFC. I've had a logger hooked up to it on the street once, i was running 16psi on pump gas. It saw one count of knock near redline.

That 12.4 you ran with a 1.60 60' is fucking fast. There are cars that run 10's that dont cut a 60' like that. What's you launching technique? I usually launch around 4500-5000 rpm and slip the clutch. I havent messed around with different launch points yet with this new setup. What are your shift points down the track? I have seen good results with shifting 200-400 rpm before redline with stock cams.

I really want to see if I can hit a 12.0xx on the setup I have right now. I'm trying to hold myself back from buying a couple more mods that will get me into the 11's for sure. I know there are a few things that are relatively cheap that I can do to get some more mph like a 2G mas, 3" intake pipe, and water injection.

I'll let you know when I'm going to the track again so we can race and whoop some of that V-8 ass. Hopefully randy and his trans will be operable at that time so he can show us whats up.

On a different subject, oosoosloo, I believe you've met my cousin Jomar through some of our family friends. I recall meeting you at Secretary of State. It's a small world. The only person I don't see routinely is Randy (whom I owe $20 still).

On another subject again, everyone up at Secretary of State, or where ever they meet now, they all seem kinda gay in the past few weeks. I'll see like a crappy grand am or something with neons and other ricer mods. I haven't seen any of the impressive cars lately. Where are all the Supras, 300zxs, and Rx7s? Where's the biker crowd? WHERE ARE ALL THE DSMS? We should just go there in a big group and show them all whats up. No one has respect for the Laser by the way; they just talk shit about it.

At Cruzers Pub on the other end of Westenage by the Portage Police Department.... The cops keep chasing us out of the Sec State office so we go there.

Hey you still got time to do that CV? I left you a Private Message on the forum.
