Ok, This was my second trip to the track ever, I was hoping for a lot better times than what i was getting. Now that i have been looking at some of the other posts, i guess this might be where i am supposed to be as far as 1/4 times go. My first trip to the track was about 2 weeks ago, I got eliminated by a new PT cruiser turbo. It was pretty embarising. I laughed about it because I had no idea how to launch or anything. I figured that this next trip would have been better since i had some practice in b4 going. My times were about the same as before. All in the low 15's. I could hear my lifters ticking like crazy before i raced everytime. I have heard if they tick hard enough that it will mess up a sensor or something and actually slow you down. is that true at all??

It sux having a sweet looking ride that gets beat by neons and pt cruisers. I have a blitz kit, CF hood, 18"s, and the next trip i will have my eibach sportlines and KYB shocks on... so it should be lookin pretty good.

My mods are,

HKS Hiper catback, Hallman MBC with cockpit control, centerforce dual friction clutch, injen intake, blitz supersound BOV. I want to get a 16G turbo later this summer.

Is there anything i can do to tune this thing to make it a little faster, i am pretty new with this stuff. I just dont want to get beat by a neon, or especially a PT-Cruiser again! Next time i am going to put my stock 16" rims on to see if that makes any difference. All i really want is to get in to the 14's.

here is a pic of my car, and also the video of the neon spanking me............. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for any help!

my site will be down until tonight. my IP must have changed. so check back if you want to see the videos! sorry!

by the way i was running 15psi during my runs.

Well, your 60' sucks.
Lifters tapping probably aren't helping - a logger would help you figure that out. Check out www.pocketlogger.com or something roughly equivalent.
How much boost are you running?
If you're venting that BOV, you shouldn't be.

I also wanted to mention that my car actually stauled out at the end of the track a few times. It did it when i was slowing down, even when i was still going 80mph. i thought that was kind of strange. any idea on what would cause that?

Venting the BOV comes to mind as to a cause of the stalling. I'd almost guarantee that's the problem if it's not rerouted back into the intake.
Find a side road in the middle of nowhere and practice practice practice. That's what I did, and I have launching a FWD down to a science. Your 60' is going to blow regardless on street tires. Don't expect anything better than a 2.0 if that even.
You're running a T-25 so it's not going to do much. High 13's with an AWD is as good as that POS has ever seen. low 14's are attainable with a FWD and you have the mods to reach that easily. The only real problem I can see is your driving. No offense, but it makes all the difference. Noone goes out on their first time and takes the car to it's limits. I've seen friends take 480 whp Supras into the low 13's their first time, and WRX's that crack a 16.2. It gets better over time and with practice.
Throw some drag radials in the mix and it gets a little better. All out slicks will make a world of difference.
Changing to the stock rims themselves will help little if at all unless they weigh an obscene amount. The tires themselves are what's the most important in a FWD.
