Ok, i'm pretty sure what i think is fuelcut is actually a backfire somewhere in my exhaust, last i checked fuelcut doesn't shoot flames out the tailpipe. i'm currently running the stock injectors @ 18psi on the 14b and i know i have an exhuast leak(very small one), i do have the upgraded pump rewired and i'm THINKING it's just running goofy rich at some point in my rpm curve and mixed with an exhaust leak going boom...does that make sense?

are you venting to the atmosphere? if so thats the reason why your blowing flames, i blow flames to between shifts it's caused from venting, and when you shift you are running very rich from the fact that the ecu has already counted the air that entered the motor for say 2nd gear, and when you let off the gas shift 3rd, and the bov releases all that air went right out the intake pipes but the ecu has already added fuel that amount of air so you end up with a lot of extra fuel that doesnt get burned and a result is when that hits your already hot exhaust pipes and tip it ignites and bam you have a flame thrower........

Precisely^^^^. A friend of mine with a GVR4 has a BOV that vents to the atmosphere. He has a super 16G, stock injectors, stock fuel pump at 14lbs of boost. Yup he shoots flames too. That has to be the reason.:D

i've been around long enough not to vent to the ATM. my exhaust leak seeems to get worse (i know where it's at but i'm not fixing it till i have a full day off) and the problem seems to get worse too. i'm still leaning towards a rich situation and possibly regapping my plugs today too, maybe it's blowing the spark out.

ok, i thought maybe it was a plug misfire so i regapped my plugs at like .022 (prev gapped at .025 and running almost 19lbs) and it's a lot worse now so i'm THINKING i should just leave them at .028 and that might cure my problem.

The richer you are the more powerful of a spark you need to ignite it, right? Maybe when you gap it that low you go beyond that point where there just isnt enough physical spark to fire the mixture effectively? Leaving a super rich condition=Fireballs!

Ok, i'm definitly leaning towards it being a boost leak, aparently the injector for my water injection came out today and the problem was happening at 14psi (with a 3/4 inch hole in my intake) so it's gotta be a boost leak.
