ok. here's the situation. went to install it today. the bov flange is welded on top of the pipe. you all know the stock location of the bov is underneath the pipe. with the bov installed on top, it sits up too high to get the hood closed. it's saturday, so i call dejon and leave a messge. got a pretty quick response. about 1 hour after i call, dave from dejon calls me back. he says my pipe was constructed incorrectly. he'll send me a new one and tells me to scrap the defective one. so, i have to made a block off plate for the bov flange and drive w/o a bov just to get my car home. i got mixed feelings. on one hand, dejon has quick customer service and is willing to resolve any issues in a timely fashion. however, had the pipe been construct correctly in the first place, i wouldn't
have to drive around w/o a damn bov. all in all, the uicp looks good. it just sucks the one i get was built by some special-ed,
slack jawwed, inbreed, moron. how the hell does someone weld a bov flange in the wrong spot? just wanted to give everyone a "heads up".oh yeah, the pipe also didn't come with a reducer coupling (2.25 inch to 1.75 inch) for the stock IC neck. i had to made my own. to be honest, i'm kinda pissed.

Did you tell then specifically that you wanted piping for a car w/ABS? :dunno: Mine doesn't have ABS and the BOV sits on top w/ no problem. Dave's probably one of the nicest vendors to work with. As said, he's fixing the problem, no need to get pissed about it. It could have being much worse if you had to pay for another one, right?

Ditto what diambo4life said.

Are you in a situation where you can't revert to using the stock UIC until the new one gets here? That would be better than driving with no BOV...

actually, yeah. i didn't recieve a reducer coupling for the ic outlet neck. so, i cut the stock rubber upper intercooler hose and used it as a collar to get the 2.25 inch coupling to fit the ic neck. satan does stock that part. i'm not gonna buy a rubber hose from satan just to ditch it when dejon sends me the correct pipe. btw, it is def. an uicp for ABS. the pipe fits and routes around the ABS pump. like i said, the bov flange is mounted on top. i've been biking to work. so, i'm not driving the car much.

Ehh, that sucks. :(

I'm sure Dejon will take care of you though... they're known for having good customer service.

Be sure to post back when you get the new pipe installed... ;)

The same thing happened to me a week ago. I got my Dejon Tool pipe for an abs car, and the bov was mounted on top of the pipe. I called them up and they told me to send them back that pipe (They paid shipping) and I recieved my new pipe 2 days later. I couldn't use my stock pipe either, because the intercooler outlet was so corroded as was the pipe that I had to cut it to get it out. The bad thing is I still don't have my car running, because after I got it all together I found the intercooler outlet brok off! So now I'm waiting on a new intercooler to be shipped to me from a member on tuners. The pipe seems of great quality though!

My non-abs faces down
Mine too...now I'm all confused. If you have ABS you have that funky lookin' box with all the metal lines coming out of it right in front of the battery right? I don't have that, so I'm assuming I don't have abs...

that is affirmative. the box w/ all the lines coming out of it is the ABS pump

When I talked to them on the phone, they told me all of their intercooler pipes have the flange facing down, I'm guessing it was just a bad batch of pipes that got made this way or something like that. They helped me very quickly and got me the right parts in a hurry. I feel they have great customer service, and helped me as fast as they could. Very good company in my opinion.

Atleast they have good customer service. People make mistakes. Some vendors would just tell you that it should fit and that since you didn't have them install that they can't garrentee fitmentment or something.

The Dejon upper i/c doesnt match the stock 1g intercooler cause it is made to fit the dejon tool modified side mount. they say your supposed to use the stock rubber hose to mount to the stock side mount.

I just used the supplied 2.25" coupler to connect the Dejon ABS UICP to my stock sidemount. I tried using reducers and stuff, but it kept blowing off. So I just tightened Dejon's coupler down to 1.75" on the SMIC side, and 2.25" on the UICP side. If that makes sense. Basically, I tightened the bandclamps down so far that I'm using the 2.25" coupler to connect the UICP to the SMIC.
