Hello:

I am a frequent poster to 3Si/s2000/SupraForums. This forum was "locked" to new users for a while so I finally got in. I just wanted to say hello and see if anyone is from Albany, NY.

Welcome, and there are a bunch people from Albany on here. I am from Lake George and I know there are quite a few DSM's running around up there. I don't know how many actually post on here though.

Thanks! I actually met a few at Lebanon Valley that last couple of months. I see a few guys here and there actually. Mostly rice in my area.

Were you at LVD last night? I'd say about half of the Capital District DSM crew was there.

Most of the Albany DSM crew got banned from this board though (not really sure why); we used to have some obscenely long threads in here a few weeks ago.

Yes I was. I had some car problems but I got it fixed. I saw a lot of DMS but no one really came up to me except my local friends.

I have a Forest Green 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4.

Yea I was at lebanon Valley for the first time ever at a track, too last weds, I ran a shitty 13.4 @ 91 with a bogged launch misssing 2nd and braking ABOUT 120FT. before the 1/4 was over, then I put in c116 race gas cause I was low on E, running rich as hell, EGT gauge was malfunctioning so I couldn't tune, then ran 13.7's at about 103 bogging 1 launch and missing 2nd again, just basically shitty driving, first time I've ever been at the track so I'm not worried, practice makes perfect.

Yea. practice makes perfect. Lebanon's track sucks ass. I get sideways on EVERY launch just about if I go past 5K on the launch. What mods do you have? Even 13.7 @ 103 with a bogged launch and missing 2nd is damn good.

What do you launch at? What's your 60's?

Sup Albany Peeps,

I'll be back in town in about two weeks, this time without my car though. It doesn't really matter anyways because we have so many DSM's rolling around in RPI, I'll just catch a ride to places.

Also, I'll offer my help in anything that I can do (people know I can do turbo-upgrades, custom IC, brake upgrade, basic VFAQ stuff that every DSM owner should know, etc). Just let me know what and when. I'll try to bring most of my tools back too because they'd be sitting in my garage for the next 2 years if I left them. I'll miss my poor MR. Eclipse...

This saturday I'm going to California Speedway hoping to pull a low 13sec. Running 110oct, Big16G at 22psi, think that will work? I fixed all of my boost leaks today and tested the pipes up to 20.6 psi (manually =P...and trust me it took a lot of effort).

Anybody up for a get together in two weeks? Thinking maybe get a cruise going before both the school starting and the weather sucking. Chao

The first trap is unusual. You might have left off early. I don't see how Your 1/8ths are SO close yet you trapped almost 10MPH different between the 1st and 2nd runs.

Yea, it was unusual, I didn't let off, I braked! like 120ft before the end of the 1/4 mile. I thought when you pass those big signs that tell you your E.T. and trap speed it was over....I went today got three runs in, they are too pathetic to post, Lets just say that my car isn't tuned for shit, I have 650's and -50 across the board at 19psi of boost for Lo and Hi throttle and still aren't breaking 800 degrees celcius, and blowing mad smoke down the track. I need a AFPR (Aeromotive on the way but on back-order), and I need to learn how to drive better. Not to mention on the last run halfway through the 1/4 mile, my BOV got stuck open and ran a freakin' 14 flat, and I can't fix it, I might need a new one....more money ito the DSM...It's a sad day for the DSM Community. And I'm from the Albany area, mainly in Guilderland with the GF.

Ah. I live in Colonie and work near Albany Airport so we are very close. I am done with the track for a while until I can get things fixed on my car and put more mods into it.

Hopefully we can meet up at Lebanon one of these days when your tuned and ready to go
