hey guys. I'm having a fucking time trying to get all of the bumper off. How do I get the bolts (or screws??) under the headlights? Do I have to take the headlights out? If so.. how?? lol. Thanks!

The headlights have 4 bolts each. One on top, 2 in the back and 1 underneath the headlight. Have fun it took me and my friends about 3 hours to remove and reinstall my front bumper. If something won't come out just rip, lol.

Mind me asking why are you removing the front bumper (97 conversion maybe???)

with the headlights they might be a biatch....you just have to be patient, one way i did mine was get under the car with a long ass extension and i was able to get the bolts under the lights.

Also our bumpers have alot of extra bolts and such that arent really needed, and if your like me you wont put em back, along with the passenger side headlight i just left one bolt in for easy access for track use, lol my bumper is held on by the top bolts and about 4zip ties hahahaha so i can take it off when loading the thing on a flatbed:rolleyes: :p

I didn't go over it in the vfaq. I just pulled my bumper off to break the mounts since i don't use them. The bottom bolt on the headlight is sort of a bitch to get out. Just leave the bolt out so your headlights are easier to get out in the future. I also leave the mounts for the bumper off that are under the headlights. It saves so much time and they are not really neccisarry.

Headlight removal (assuming you dont want to keep it in graet condition)

Put long screwdriver ehind it, take out 3 easy bolts.. Kick screwdriver and hard as you can prying headlight housing out.

Takes a few tries, but it works!

And removing the bumper is cake, I did it in my driveway with no jack at all. Real cake, now putitng ht fender back correctly is another problem, stupid shit is too close to my hood

(had to replace fender due to accident)

Thanks a lot guys! I'm going to finish it up today once I find that one bolt under the headlight.

I'm putting my friend's 96 bumper on since my bumper has a big chunk missing from a curb shot I got last year (1st time ever driving in the snow). Got it for free. :D

Thanks again!
