ok. here is my problem. I know i should have left the oil return line connected to the oil pan when I took out my t28 and put the 16g on but i forgot. when i connected the oil return line back after installing the 16g it leaked oil where the line connected to the oil pan. so i bought a new gasket and put it on but still it leaked. i tried tightening the screws as much as i can but it didnt help. Can anybody tell me how to fix this problem so i can enjoy my new 16g? I am using the factory screws, would that be the problem? Can i use two gaskets? would that help?

My car actually leaked slightly before I changed the turbo. I soaked the gasket in oil(like for a second) before I put it on and its dry now. Let the cardboard soak up some of the oil just like a oil filter gasket does.

I didn't even use a gasket on mine, just outline the hole with black high temp RTV after cleaning all the oil from the area and bolt the flange down..2 gaskets = double trouble

i've been in the situation your in. Brand new gasket and tightened the piss out of it and it still leaks......very familiar. I currently have 2 gaskets in there and it doesn't leak anymore. Also make sure that you've got all the old gasket scraped off really good since this is a sensitive spot to make it seal. I have RTV silicone, "room temperature vulcanizing" silicone, I believe is what is stands for, in between and on both sides of my gaskets. NAPA has a wide variety, and you should get some rated for high temperatures.

Hey thanks for all of you guys input. I just put the RTV on the pipe and it worked great. No more leaks. Though i found out part of the problem was that some of the old gasket was stuck on the oil pan on either side of where the screws were so it leaked in the middle. But everything is good now. thanks
