Just installed a new set of plug wires today and got rid of the small stock ones. As I was removing the stockers, the wire on one pulled out from the plug. No big deal, I just grabbed plug with some pliers and pulled it out. Installed new wires and decided to take a drive to make sure everything was in working order. When I reach about 13lbs. of boost my car jumps a little and wont stop until I let off. The strange thing is that it didnt do that before I changed the wires. My first guess is that its a bad set of wires or could a piece of the old set still be in there making the spark short out. Any help would be great, meantime I'll be out checking a few things out. Thanks

Okey the same thing is ind of happening to my car and its pissing me off... When i get to about 4500 rpm the car jumps and misses real bad... I dont know what the problem is.... I put the plugs off of my 91 eclipse on there and its doing the same thing... I tested my coil packs and in the chiltons it says the ohm reading should be between 10.3- 13.9 kohms... The packs on my 90 laser turbo read 14.6 on one pack and 14.3 on the other... The packs on my 91 eclipse read 13.6 both packs... do you think my coil packs are the problem and if so whould the ones from the 91 eclipse n/t work ok?

I'm pretty certain it's the coil pack (ie. if you have good wires and your plugs are gapped correctly.) Swap your coil with one from a car that doesn't stutter and see.;)
