I noticed the two turbos are about the same with a $400 lower price on the L2R. How many people are running these turbos and how do you like it? I really want to get a green but if I can get the performance out of the L2R for less money that might persuade me to get that turbo instead.

Thanks

400 cheaper??? wow. that would make the l2r a sizzling 1000...... if they made them anymore....

when agp DID make the l2r, it was 1500 though, NOT 1000. anyway, the two turbos are like apples and oranges. l2r being a ball bearing turbo, Green being a standard thrust type. l2r having a very limited record, Green having a successful and very vast one. Green being mitsubishi based, l2r being garret based.

i have a Green and love it. is it overpriced? ya, i think it is. does it haul ass? ya i KNOW it does.

in depth reviews exist on both of these turbos, read them and make a decision (if you can find an l2r).

Yes I was looking at the wrong turbo when I was looking at the price. They did take it off their website and if you really wanted one they would still build it according to the email they replied to me. But they said they have a new one that took its spot. Probably one of the new ones listed in the post above.

No doubt the Green is the way to go for the rep and customer service they have.:D

I'd say L2R, but I'm biased. :D

Seriously, though, it is like someone mentioned. The L2R is a dual ball bearing Garrett turbo stuffed in a Mitsu turbine housing. It has a 54 lb/min compressor wheel with a GT30 turbine wheel.

I'm not sure what the compressor wheel in the Green is, but you probably will never come close to the 54 lb/min that the L2R supprots unless you are heavily modded, ie stroked, cams, ported head, etc. And the BB cartridge gives full boost in the neighborhood of 3600 RPM, depending on setup.

The reason that there are few L2R's is because they were more expensive, than even the Green I believe. But, if you say they are less, then I would go with that.

With that said, the Green has been proven to be an awesome turbo in itself. Again probably more than you will ever need. It just matters price and preference in the end.

I though the L2R was replaced by the FP-30. I was looking into the L2R but then they came out with the FP-30 which seems like a kick ass turbo. AGP says that it is very similar to the Green but with a better top end. The ball bearing turbo also makes it spool faster which will give you better bottom end too. I have checked their websited and they say that the FP-30 is only around $995 or something like that

L2R=Agp

FP-30= Forced performance

Ya FP has just came out with those FP series turbos not to replace anything but to take advantage of the new cartridge. AGP makes the L2R and Forced Performance makes the Green and FP series turbos. Anyway AGP does not list the L2R anymore they have moved onto something else.

The green is more than likely the one I will get.

i saw L2R and thought, hmmm they brought it back......

i liked the l2r. installed 2 of them and boy they made the seem of the pants get tight real fast but the green is an awesome turbo on paper.

i personally feel that for the value there are a lot more options.
PTE, SB, VP all of them are makin some bad ass turbo's with BB and 360degree cartridges too.....

By "paper" you must be talking about all of the timeslips and the dyno graphs that have been done... I'm sure the l2r was/is a good turbo, but I've just not heard that much about it from fast dsm's.

lol, Couldn't agree more. The green is a amazing turbo.. If you want something that has proven after time go with the green.. FP is the shit. Expensive but well worth it. Yes I'm bias towards FP stuff.

the reason i said on papaer is because i have never meesed with one personally so i dont want to make any or give any opinions on somethin i havent experienced first hand.
